(Sacramento, CA) Fiesta En La Calle’s Cinco De Mayo Festival is the most well attended Latino Music and Food Festival in all of the Sacramento Valley. This year is a major mile stone for Fiesta En La Calle as we celebrate the 50th free music event. Yes, Sunday May 5 will be Fiesta En La Calle 50th free event it has provided the City of Sacramento since it began in 2011. So, this year will be special for us.
The legendary Southside Park has been the home of the Cinco De Mayo festival for over 45 years and to celebrate this years festival, we are featuring the music of some of the most well known Latin Artists.
Saturday May 4 we are featuring the band known as the Best Santana Tribute Band “SACRED FIRE”. Sharing the stage with them are SUGAR HIGH, DISCOS RESACA & KANDIA.
For Sunday May 5 (Cinco de Mayo) we are featuring the Best Tribute to Selena Band “ANYTHING FOR SALINAS”. Sharing the stage with them are Bay Area’s War Tribute “CISCO KID”, SOL PELIGRO, LELE and LA’s best Ladies Trio “IXCHEL” featuring 2 members of the grammy awarded Trio Ellas along with Dinorah.
As a bonus, a Classic Car Show will line one area of the park (for all those car & bike enthusiasts to oooh and aaaah).
The festival promises to be a fun celebration of the Latino cultures, traditions, art, food, drinks, music and dances. There are special performances by LeLe, Vivomusic, Kapulli Itzkuauhti Aztec Dancers, Fólklorico Nostalgia de Mexico, Mistura Brasiliera Samba Dance & Drum and a fabulous all childrens choir “El Arte de Amar” .
The highly popular event will also celebrate the community’s diverse culture through popular South of the boarder traditional foods such as tacos, moles, grilled oysters, pupusas, burritos and yummy snacks such as fresh frutas, corn on the cob, razpados and much more. The festival will be sure to give everyone plenty of food options, and of course what Cinco de Mayo event is complete without its traditional drinks? Margaritas and Mexican Beers will be available for those mature event goers.
Free parking is available in the large parking lot located on 5th & S Streets.
