Abstract Abstract is my first album and possibly my most complex project thus far. It is virtually a playlist of my emotions and feelings as well as my ups and downs in the past year. The definition of Abstract is something that exist in thought or as an idea but not having a concrete existence. This describes the project and me as an artist perfectly because I know where I’m headed and embracing who I’m becoming and this music is a continuation of that journey. Abstract will be released December 2017 so stay tune. Q&A with 2Four What is your definition of music? I believe it’s every dream, emotion, art and things like that all mixed into one. Music is so great because anyone can make it whatever they want it to be. And I think that’s what it’s all about. What inspires you to write songs? Just life really. I take my experiences currently and mash it together with my dreams and aspirations and wants and it comes out in bars and hooks for me. What does a successful music career look like to you? Being able to make a living and perfecting my craft full time would be a success to me. I want to make money and live a prosperous life like everyone else but my view of success isn’t a single accolade or dollar amount. Simply living off my craft would do it for me. What is your creative process for constructing your music? Sometimes it’s a precise and thought out plan and other times it’s a creative mess. I think I thrive in both situations so it just depends on what’s happening at the time and what comes along. What is more important, signing a major record deal or remaining independent and why? Both have been proven to be successful avenues so I don’t think it really matters. As long as I can do what I love for a living and make a living doing it, I’d be comfortable with either.
