Born of Jamaican parents and raised in NW Washington, DC aka "UpTown". My youth was filled with songs from Beres Hammond, Gregory Isaacs, Bob Marley, Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton. But outside the home, was always the native sound of go-go music. Chuck Brown, EU (Experience Unlimited), JYB (JunkYard Band), BYB (BackYardBand). As a child i always admired the art of poetic story telling. I first fell in love with the art of RAP by watching the rap battle between Kid n Play in the movie house party. As i got older, I noticed the intense amount of importance music has within all of our personal daily lives, and specific cultures. It has the power to be very influential and therapeutic. I started writing songs in high school. I first won Best lyrics with my song “Letters To Home”, for the 2010 KFC Pride 360 Contest. I then went on to win best lyrics for the "American Music Track Awards, with my song "Save Me. ft. Erika Anderson". Both were incredibly great confidence building experiences.
