dictating Sheer disaster,
with all your ego
and your money
but you’ve still got
no class …Sir?????
they’ll be sticking
your policies
up your rich ass
much faster.
then all of your
promised relief
and your tweeted
useless chatter,
because Americans
are not your slaves
and you are not
our master
Build your huge
wall of hate
by executive orders
with a 20%
import tax
on Mexican borders
but when
the drinkers
of America
buy shots of tequila,
at twenty bucks each
they’ll want you
shipped to Korea.
Plus you’re denying
many innocent
Muslims a Visa,.
with a policy bent
more than the
Tower of Pisa,
Lumping them
in with terrorists
and though it
might please ya,
Will more
Americans die???!!!

ever seize ya???
You act
without thinking
and think
without acting
you mock
Korean missiles
telling them

I remember Christmas eves
as the most sleepless night I ever knew
when I was just a child.
filled with sweet anticipation
of my presents packed in Santa’s sleigh
brought my biggest smiles
Listening for the pitter-patter
on the roof over my head
of 8 reindeer landing gently
with their very heavy sled
Innocence undefiled.
With no sugar plums
dancing in my head
cause my mind was filled instead
with all I’d asked Santa to bring
knowing most of them would never be
cause my family knew some poverty
yet still my hopes took wings

But Christmas morning brought the usual
underwear (expired link). ‘s and a sock half full,
of hard candies meant to suck….
with 5 kids to please at Christmas time
I got a couple of toys from the five and dime
but it was just enough…..
cause I realized even as a boy
that these gifts brought both my parents joy
wrapped in newspaper with love….
Love that I will carry till I’m old
worth much more than money, toys or gold
cause gifts are just some stuff.
And I remember when the New Year passed
how sad I used to be when our tree was cast
on the curb out by the street
dripping just a few stray icicles
left to fade away in the bitter cold
till it vanished that same week,
But it taught me all things beautiful
should be cherished more cause their temporal
cause soon they’re gone away
Like my mom and dad who are no longer here
both their lives were curbed and we all wept tears
on those tragic days,

About Me :
White House Artist, Actor, Sculptor, teacher, singer, songwriter, poet, over 350 songs and 4,000 poems so far. I manage two Dodge ball leagues, play volleyball, roller skate like a madman There are far greater depths where one's soul often sinks,
when the brain cells all starve and can no longer think,
where a writer too often is left on the brink,
to abandon the task and be gone in a blink.
Coining phrases and yet never gaining coined praise,
penning unpublished works till the end of their days,
where their reach exceeds any success they will grasp,
yet they'll still sing unheard songs with their dying gasp.
The music that calls them to capture its beauty,
is often illusion bidding them to their duty
to pen masterpieces in which they truly believe,
which the masses of listeners simply fail to perceive.
To work and re-work a song till is is beaten
always looking for some hook or note that will sweeten,
the hit that becomes just a smack in the face,
till their muse comes around with new songs to embrace.
I know, I have walked down despairs darkest alleys,
my dreams dwell in cardboard boxes where failures are tallied
homeless wraiths near the back doors of studio rejections,
scarred in red ink that tattoos their great imperfections.
The first one hundred songs that you write, truth be told
are just practice, mostly efforts that will never be sold,
oh, so many good songwriters fail to control,
all their screams, meant as whispers that pour from their soul.
But my muse is a demon, a cruel workaholic,
and I'll not be a free man till I craft what's bucolic,
in the ears of producers seeking something that rocks
as I fail each exam in their schools of hard knocks.
So it's back to the sound boards and my faithful guitar,
like a miner seeking gold with only dust in his jar,
till the right combination brings sensations in song,
where each note is important,and nothing's played wrong
then I'll reach that bright stage where I truly belong.
