I have just altered and added my Bio to my site so I thought I send it out to see what you guys think? I have also upgraded my status to the Diamond package so I'm hoping to share a lot more of my music with you all here on N1M I would love to hear any comments, thoughts and ideas from anyone best wishes....... John Solo singer songwriter writing & playing all original material I play acoustic guitar, tenor guitar and a little bass. My songs are Acoustic Ballads, Love Songs, Folk Songs, Pop Songs, Blues & Rock Songs. I enjoy writing lyrics especially if it's about a person, incident or story. I have recorded 15 solo albums of my own material and I have been involved in writing and collaborations with several local artists and have written 40+ songs with them. I also have songs on several local Charity albums including two supporting Parkinson's, one of these was launched at The World Parkinson's event in Japan. I live in Dudley, England which is an old historic market town in an area we call "The Black Country" which was an area where the Industrial Revolution started in England in the 1700+ The Black Country is a unique part of England with it's own unique accent hard working people with an amazing sense of humour and has influenced me greatly. Robert Plant is one of my many musical heroes and he was born, bred here and he is also a proud Black Country lad. I still consider myself the new kid on the block as I have only been playing the guitar and writing song 15 years, Comedy has always been my first love until music put its spell on me and I used to write comedy for Newsrevue in London and have had my parody songs and sketches taken to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh. I'm a proud born & bred Black Country lad with some Welsh & Scottish blood in my veins so I can claim some Celtic heritage too.
