18 months ago we stepped off a cruise ship after a 7 day family holiday into a vastly changed world. All was fine when we left home, there was talk of a virus/flu overseas but no mention of it actually being in Australia. By comparison with so many countries we have done well, maybe something to do with being an island. We have almost reached 80 per cent vaccinated, Freedom Day, the day we open up. The vaccinated will enjoy a lot more freedom and sadly it will then become, in the main, an epidemic of the people who have chosen not to be vaccinated. All the great music and songs on here give me hope for the future. Keep safe. Love one another. Hugs Lola

Dear friends,
I hope the sun is shining a little brighter on your part of the world and pray we will all come safely through this horror.
I have just uploaded a new song, christian country with a little Celtic touch. It was recorded and sung by my Co writer Warren Kearney. THE PEARLY GATES BRIDGE is an actual bridge and I always think it could be the back door to Heaven if because you haven't led a decent, caring life you don't have the two pennies to pay the ferryman to carry you over the river to Heaven's shore. You then need to do some thinking and searching and hopefully you will find the backdoor to Heaven.
It little bit different I know but most cultures tell the story of the ferryman especially Celtic and Greek . I hope you love it as much as we do. (expired link)

Dear friends, I hope you and your families are all well and coping with this terrible crisis our world is experiencing. I am delighted but a little amazed that THE WEB is the No 1 alternate song in Australia, but when I think about it our song is very topical and almost prophetic for our whole world is hanging by a slender thread at this time. And all the time the spider like virus is lurking in the shadows waiting to pounce.

Dear Friends, I feel the need this morning to reach out to you all and say hello in this fearful time. I picked up my Grandmother's prayer book and noticed that about the centre pages it was stained and worn, when I opened it I found she was reading the Apocalypse. My Grandmother would have been seeking comfort during World War 2 when two of her sons were overseas fighting for our lives and freedom.
God forbid that this terrible disease will take more lives than that terrible world war.
May the Lord keep us safe and guide the research workers in their search for a cure.

Hi All, I hope all is good with you at this time of so much fear and worry. We will get through this if we care and show outward signs of kindness to each other.
My husband and I went to the market this morning after the mad rush to buy toilet paper was over, I really can't understand what this is all about as Australia makes paper and toilet rolls. We found everything we needed, fish, meat, fruit and veges. We plan to not go out again for awhile.
A lovely thing happened at the market this morning people smiled at and asked other shoppers if they were OK.
I hope you can take a minute to listen to our new song. It is a Lola Brinton/Shane Edwards/Sven Tydeman co write. Shane recorded it and Sven a multi talented musician produced it.

First of all thank you for listening to our songs. My co writers and I very much appreciate your support.
I have been very busy writing as usual and working with my co writers to get our songs out there to be heard.
Something I'm sure you all know about.
On Wednesday Australia and New Zealand commemorated the 103rd Anniversary of ANZAC Day. On this day we remember our soldiers who went off to fight in The Great War. A friend and I wrote about a boy soldier's experiences, and there were many boy soldiers on both sides. Attached is a photo of my husband and I and out two sons as we were about to leave for the commemoration march. May the Lord keep you safe in these troubled times. Hugs Lola

I'm not great at keeping in touch, sorry about that. I get lost in my world of writing.
I have just uploaded a new Americana song THE DEVIL's GARDEN I co wrote with Jasper Shelton Hollis. He is also the vocalist. Jasper was born and raised in Nashville and now resides in Australia. Hope you love this one as much as we do.

Thank you to all who have listened to Shane sing Not A Lot's Changed. He has an awesome voice and I am so happy I asked him to record this song. I have since co written one with him and we will be releasing it shortly.
