Best known by my stage name RydaThaSurgeon or simply Ryda. I am an HipHop Artist/Songwriter from Mattapan, Boston. Ive gained respect across New England and have left my musical imprint in Various states. In 2012 I was a Contestant in the ‘XXL Mag Battle Of The Singles Competition’ where I reached 3 out of 4 rounds and that helped my name get in the talks of “Who Got Next”

My Video being on WorldStarHipHop helped me get notoriety in other countries (such as Japan) which was great but I am ready to bring my music completely abroad

I've also collaborated with a few of my favorite artists, ones that I hope you'll see in the industry one day. When discovering my sound and laying some ground work, I linked up with R&B artist Teddy D and we introduced the world to what we titled "Brockton 2 Boston" (2010) I took a little hiatus, things weren't going right for me, music wasn't sounding the same and BOOM..Miles came thru with his energy and you know what they say "Iron sharpens Iron", we created "Lost At Sea" (2015) Adjusting a bit to the new song, In 2019 me and Mario Pope dropped a project called "Pope Ryda"(2019)

I've used music to heal my pains and to tell My story. A quote that I live by is "my failure, is my motivation" I am determined to prove to myself, my family, and to the dreams that my sons may one day have, that dreams do and will come true. My confidence, heart, and drive is a clear indication of how far I want And will go, not only in music but in life.
