Technique, born Sidney L. Smalls Jr. on March 14, 1989, is an American Hip-Hop Artist raised in the Bronx who has been performing songs since the age of 3. At the age of 6, he began writing his own material and producing his own beats. It wasn’t until the age of 11 that he began recording songs. His first session was engineered by Kenny Parker, of Boogie Down Productions. Shortly after that, he started working out of his own home studio. Which he impressively taught himself most of what he knew at said time.

Technique held an open door policy to his studio. Where many have come to record, and some even grow in front of his eyes. Because of this Tech has been known as a usual collaborator with many crews and even be known as a member of multiple crews at any given time. The strongest of bonds came from his first group “No Remorse” which grew into the “Fab Five” and the “Fab Five Family” camps. Currently Tech, happily remains an active member of “Fab 5” and “The Bucky Gang” all while heading his own personal imprint “Artist At Large”. “Right now I’m just looking for people with the same drive as me.
