BIO:
(expired link). was born on June 11, 1983 on the west side of Chicago. He was the youngest of five children. (expired link) was raised on the southwest side of Chicago in a neighborhood known as The Leclaire Courts. (expired link). began singing at the bright age of four, but had a passion for playing basketball. In the years to come, his singing ability progressed into the phenomenal talent that he has today.
(expired link). soon became familiar with life's tragedies that quickly overwhelmed his livelihood. When he was 12 years old, his Aunt Dot(his mothers sister) passed away. This was followed by 3 of his fathers sisters passing away within a 9 month span. Particularly, his Aunt Bob was his favorite. She taught him a happier way of life. This was overwhelming for a 15 year old young man and these events caused (expired link). to be submerged in a world of pain.
At the age of 17, (expired link). dropped out of school and started hustling in the streets to make ends meet. He was enjoying being young and indulged in the life of sex, money, and drugs. This was not the path that he intended for himself. Changes were coming his way.
Subsequently, at 19 years old, (expired link). moved from home at an attempt of life on his own. He began to write music and began a bumpy road to success. He was signed to Campane Records, which was a local label. (expired link). caught the attention of many with his soulful/urban R&B and sexual lyrics. In the summer of 2005 his album, It's All About Sex was released and launched his success as a local artist. The journey to fame was slightly hindered when owner of Campane Records decided to pursue other goals.
That same year, he was also interrupted by the loss of his best friend, Daniel Little (Dan Dan) in the summer of 2005.
That same year, (expired link). began to practice the craft of hip hop to provide listeners with some insight on the street side of his life. This allowed (expired link). to have some versatility in his music. As life got harder, (expired link). began to work harder. He mastered the art of engineering music, editing and filming videos.
On May 1, 2008, (expired link). was blessed with the birth of his first child, Armani Tayshaun Vinson. This provided him with more incentive and drive to chase after his inevitable fame.
In addition, his two older brothers, Larell Boyd(age 29) passed away in 2009, and Montez Vinson(Rico, age 29) passed away in 2010. This left (expired link). empty and he lost his motivation for music, and revisited his passion after mourning.
By January of 2011, (expired link). was considering signing with recording label 1500 or Nothin'. Things started to look brighter and there was newfound enthusiasm in his life. This also gave him an opportunity to go to the 2011 BET Awards and meet artists such as: Tierra Marie, Tank, Too Short, Young Jeezy, Bone Thugz N Harmony, R. Kelly, to name a few. However, the arrangements with the label did not work out.
Today, (expired link). continues to persevere through all of life's struggles. He is currently networking to promote his mixtapes and make a profound name for himself. Making music is part of his everyday life while working to make ends meet and provide for his son.
