“I think songwriting is the ultimate form of being able to make anything that happens in your life - productive.”
Taylor Swift
“I never used to sit down and plot out my next song, the thing is, words and melody seem to just happen. Before "Over the Rainbow" I didn't want to write songs that promoted a certain message. That is just not how my songwriting originates - It sort of materializes, and the songs are what they are.
But after this project and messages from fans who are going through bullying, I realized that it could do some good in the world. I want to help change the world for the good. I'll always write other songs but there's a lot of shallow, self-centered music. I think if you can help, you should. In a way, I think that's what Taylor Swift ment.”
