A new year, a new (old) song
Hi everyone!
First of all I wish everyone a wonderful 2021, coming out of the covid and into a new normality.
I've been getting a lot of requests to post new songs here.
Since covid hit, I haven't been working on new recordings.
Mostly I've been reassessing my path, sitting by the piano and immersing myself in creating new music, which I haven't done before. Up till now, I've been writing songs in my head and working with talented musicians to bring the song out into the world. Now there's a new avenue that I want to explore.
There's new hope now for a return to an altered (improved?) state of normality, what with vaccines and being able to be in proximity to people again. Which is essential both to my creative process and to creating actual songs from all the voices in my head :)
But until I do that, I sat down to listen to recordings and found some songs that I think you might like. Most are sketches, so be gentle with me.
I'll be releasing them here in the coming days and weeks.
First new release is actually the first song I remember writing, many many years ago while I was still studying philosophy in university. It's beautifully produced and somewhat transformed from the original text, which I want to share with you because it holds special meaning to me:
