Mark Lucas (drums) is an associate of Larry Hale (who himself has a long history in Baltimore-area bands going back to the 1960s) and they had performed together with Twelve Bars On Monday, which is where Ellsworth met Mark. With Larry unavailable Mark took on the drum throne for the band's 2021 summer performances.

Chris Marks
Chris Marks (guitar, vocals) is a classically trained virtuoso guitarist and veteran of many Baltimore / D.C. bands including Cosmic Structure, Semolina Rice Band, The Kid Band, Logos Affinity, Hot Type, Chemical Man, The Source, and Dolly Dagger. Chris joined Aethellis in 2004, performing with the band intermittently until 2012. He currently performs with 2nd Sole and Jed Duvall (Elvis, Paul McCartney and Johnny Cash tribute) among others but was back with Aethellis for their 2021 summer performances.

Geoff Holdridge
Geoff Holdridge (electric viols, vocals) also performed in Outta Scope, one of the hottest jazz-rock bands in the Washington D.C. area. A classically trained musician from age four, with 12 years of formal musical training and thirty years of professional experience, Geoff is versed in many styles, from blues and rock to country, jazz, old timey, and medieval. He also studied jazz theory and improvisation with John Mehegan and classical viola at Yale University. Geoff performed with Aethellis from 2018 through 2019 and again in 2021.

Aethellis' new album, The Affinity Oeuvre is due out this summer on the Melodic Revolution Records label. It will feature the 12+ minute epic "Anandia" along with jazz fusion-influenced instrumentals and songs about recent current events.
The album prominently features songs and performances by guitarist/vocalist Mark Van Natta. Keyboardist/vocalist Ellsworth Hall contributed his compositions as well and Erik Marks will appear playing bass once more.
The promo version of "Do Like I Do" is available now on Number One Music but will soon be replaced with the album version which has a different arrangement.

Hello all! Just an update.
COVID-19 slowed down the process of recording the new Aethellis album but nearly all tracks have the basics recorded with just some overdubs needed before mixing and mastering. Some rough mixes have already been done.
We hope to have it completed before year's end and will post new material on Number One Music. We do have a preview mix of one tune, "Do Like I Do." It's a bit more pop-oriented than our usual material but the rest of the new album will have a mix of progressive rock, jazz fusion and pop.
We're still planning to video record a concert next year as well.

First thank you for being a subscriber of Aethellis. We were due to have our next album out last year but of course COVID-19 put a damper on that. That said, most of the new album has been drafted and we need the band members to meet in person to put down their final parts. Hopefully that will happen by mid-year and we're doing as much virtually as possible!

Read moreOn Aethellis' YouTube channel the band posted a new video, the official version of the song "A Home In Your Thoughts." It's the first section of a 2-part 15 minute suite, "A Home In Your Thoughts / Second Home In Your Thoughts." The song is from the band's latest release, the EP A Home In Your Thoughts on the Melodic Revolution Records label.

We are in production for a music video of the song "A Home In Your Thoughts" which will be released in late summer/early fall. In the next few weeks we're also uploading some songs culled from the first two Aethellis albums that haven't been posted as of yet.
On top of all this, we are rehearsing for a major concert event to be recorded both in audio and video formats for release by year's end.
