Melanie Mumford, born March 22, 1988, also known by her stage name "Alexandriah", is an aspiring vocal artist from Wiggins, Mississippi. Mumford had a rough upbringing as her family struggled with poverty. At one point she was even forced to live out of a car with her mother and younger siblings. She also lived in many different homes from one place to the next with different family members. Despite all of her struggles there was one thing that brought light into her world and that was music. Her love for music began at a young age and her first church performance happened when she was only 3. She continued sharing her voice and began writing songs at the age of 12. While going to school she was a part of the choir and led the praise team at her church. After high school she worked many different jobs, but still dedicated all of her free time to pursuing her musical career. Alexandriah currently resides in Delmar, Maryland with her partner. Her goal everyday is to write at least one song as she continues to follow her dreams, someday hoping to share her voice and musical talents with the world.
