open wide and walk right in

This is a great blues song. The guitar playing is excellent, the rhythm is catchy, the vocals are bluesy, the lyrics are creative, the arrangement is well thought out - its sounds like these guys have been paying their dues for a good long time. There is some creative hook - vocally or instrumentally - with just about every line all the way through the song. There isn't anything that is predictable. This song works quite well on repeat. I have to check out the other four songs on their Five Tracks ep release. I highly recommend the addition of this song to anyone's playlist and I'm so glad to have come across it myself. Five Stars.

The Blues Thieves - Through the Backdoor

Upon the first listen of The Blues Thieves track, "Through the Backdoor" - I am reminded almost immediately of ZZ Top. Production is good, and the guitar playing very bluesy. Sort of a John Lee Hooker riff, as a band like Canned Heat might have interpreted, with gritty vocals and traditional blues theme (of an illicit love affair) to the lyrics. Definitely worth a listen if you are fond of Texas blues.

Good!

Nice Vibe to this song. Sounds very good, and laid back. Of course very Blues oriented. Good sound of instruments. I could hear everything really well. Lead Guitar slightly a little loud, but not bad. Think this has a lot of potential. Good work guys. Maybe I can hear a little ZZ TOP Band in this song. Sincerely Edward Westbrook

Great track!

I really like this track. Love the old school bluesy feel it has to it. reminds me of a 70's classic rock tune, like Stevie Ray Vaughn or something. Great guitar work, vocals and production! Along with being an indie artists myself I am also a DJ on a popular internet radio station and I have my own show every Sunday afternoon. I would love to get a copy of this song and play it on my show! Great song, great job! Can't wait to hear the entire EP!

Sounthern Blues From Italy!

Kicking off with an edgy blues guitar riff that leads to a strong vocal, this song let's you know right away it means business. I have to admit I was surprised to hear a strong blues sound coming out to a town in Italy. But they dd a nice job with this cut. Drums are solid as is the bass, creating a foundation for the guitar and vocals to shine. The vocalist sings with an American accent. It's not possible to tell from this recording if he is a native of the USA or Italian but he certainly sounds authentic as an American blues singer. The guitar solo is confident and proud. I look forward to hearing more from this talented artist.

Rock ON ! Keep Creating great music

Rock ON ! Keep Creating Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. Plato I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. No surprise here, just good blues

No surprise here except maybe that the band playing is not from the USA but from Italy and they are playing typical southern blues. They are doing a good job of it too. Of course, you'd have to be a complete un- talented gimp to screw up blues. Nonetheless, the song is well recorded. The musicians sound like they know what they are doing and the song moves along fine without any holes that I can find. This is not a musical opus, it's just the blues. Blues done and recorded well. Good job gentlemen! I wish you continued success!

I Liked IT!

You got some energy going there on this song, man. I like the drive it has 'all' the way thru...the short break in the middle, threw me a little, but it came back strong with that driving unorthodox Bass style. I see you have a TEXAS boy (Alex) on guitar...nice work, Alex. Keep up the good work and send me some more review request. I don't understand 'why' you have not gotten more plays with such a strong drive going. Good Luck in you Music adventure ~ Gizzmow in Bonham, Texas.

Enter the Front Door!

I love a good blues song. And this has all the classic vibes that get you going. The guitar riffs, the classic notes. And then the vocals kick in. I'd want to hear this at a Blues Festival as part of a main stage performance. When you get material like this put together, it makes you want to listen to more. That's what I'm getting from your music. I'm excited to hear what else you have in store!

as one door opens, another closes...

The Blue Thieves bring us Through the backdoor. A classic foot stompin' type blues rag with plenty of production values applied liberally. The guitar work is very much classic blues... I suspect Les Pauls Studio classics were used on every track by the weight of the tone.... From the producers perspective the only real issue I have is with the level of compression and while there is a deep stereo field it isn't fully utilized in the tracking and mixing process and there is a a substantially reduced dynamic range throughout the song. Its a good tune but doesn't really stand out among the rest.

Cool

Great song it has a real laid back feeling with some kick ass guitar work. The singer is really good his voice fits the song well. I don't know for sure what kind of guitar it is, but it sounds like a les paul. It's about time I heard some good rockin blues.

Good name for the band

Blue Thieves gets your attention immediately, they have a great sound and play a mean Boogie. The guitarist has a gritty tone and throws down some tasty blues riffs, he does this little "whoop" thing at the end of some of his solos that's really cool. Can't leave out the bass player who has the feel and groove down to perfection and it's fun music and easy to listen to. The drummer is the glue for this band and draws you into the song measure by measure. I really enjoyed this little tune its catchy and a toe tapper. The Blue Thieves will steal your heart ... Worth every second of your time. I think this band will easily be 4 and 5 stars in the near future!

Love the blues

Had my attention right away. Great intro with some damn hot guitar work throughout the song. Band is tight and everything you would expect from a professional sounding band. Vocals were very well mixed giving the whole song the rocky, bluesy guts it needed. If you perform on stage as well as I hear on here, you guys would be an act I'd pay bucks to go and see. Looking forward to hearing much more from The Blue Thieves.

Helpful

Hi, I really enjoyed your song. I loved the lead guitar and you did a good job on the vocal mixing. I noticed you kept the drums real simple, but I would've loved to hear some jazz rolls in the song a certain spots. Just a thought, but I think it could really help boost the song. I wouldn't go crazy with it, but some simple rolls 2-3 times throughout would sound great. Other than that, keep up the good work and I look forward to hearing more from you. Rock on.
