(Ali) Alecia Davis was born on July 10th, 1985 to Sharon Maragh and Donald Davis in Annotto Bay St. Mary, Jamaica (expired link). She developed her musical style from listening to greats like Nat King Cole, Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffits, Bob Marley, Sanchez and many other talented musicians.
