Brandon Joseph Vlasic "Prophet" was born in Merrillville, Indiana in 1993. Prophet grew up living in a house with two older brothers and both his parents. Growing up he spent a lot of time in fascination with old school rock,rap and pop records. When he was six his parents split up, during this time he spent a lot of it with his grandmothers and became more in tune with music. He took a great interest in artists like Michael Jackson, Dr. Dre, Pink Floyd, Jay Z, 2pac, & (expired link). He took a liking to these artists because of the relation of the lyrics and the feelings it inspired. Prophet's love for music grew stronger and stronger the older he got, but it wasn't until 16 where he found this is what he truly wanted. After becoming inspired, by the uprising of several artists in the 219 area he reached out to his now mentor Big Cheef. Since then the rest has been history, Prophet's music is very diverse and widespread. He has stated: "Being a true artist is having your fans never knowing what to expect, music is music it shouldn't be one track, it should be diverse, stand out and keep it real. You'll get more respect." He has certainly had his share of habitats and has been no stranger to things that include : streets, gangs, drugs, and crime throughout all this experience and activities throughout his teenage years Prophet only wanted one thing and never took his eyes off his True Passion MUSIC. Prophet is the true definition of hard working and dedicated. Looked down by other artists in his city because of his race rhyme style originality & lyrical ability on the microphone Prophet was signed to Privilege Muzic in 2012 and mentored by Indiana's legendary artist and producer Big Cheef. For the last few years he has been working to master his craft and his style. He has managed to keep a buzz by releasing several singles and interacting with fans. Beyond music he has been spending time: attending school studying communications, learning to play a piano, and becoming a photographer. Later this year he wants to launch a clothing line, release a music video, become a graphic designer, a producer and go on tour. Teflon's group is called The Family, which was built with a group of other friends and artists that are as close to him as family. The group has been expanding and making moves across genres deeper then just music. The group uses the Don persona as being a boss, being in control, and living your life to the fullest. Each member has a Don persona Prophet has chosen Don Teflon, because of how diverse he is with his music, he doesn't just stick with one thing or genre he continues to expand himself as an artist. So far, The Family includes other music artists, a graphic designer, and a producer. He also plans to add a photographer, videographer, as well as an engineer.
