These are the kind of pop songs I really like.. Music is well written, well played, consistently up tempo and holds all other aspects of the song together. The music itself delivers a positive groove, beat and feeling from start to finish. At first listen the lyrics are anything but happy and seem to reflect a person who has had his heart broken and has been hurt many times. All of this being sung on top of a truly bouncy uptempo positive music composition. Love that contrast. Though the singer does say he is 'Back In The Light' he doesn't let you forget he's been down and beaten had his heart broken but he is finding his way back. Great contrast. Glad the song is as strong musically as it is....

Nice Funky beat takes me back to the 1970's so quite retro in feel. Too much reverb/double track for my taste, but apart from that a great song which gets your feet tapping and makes you want to get and dance . Well done!

Very funky groove. I’m feeling the swing of the song. The chorus effect on the main vocal makes it difficult to differentiate between the hook and verses. Also, if you produced the song (as in played the instruments) well done! If not, I suggest investing in more realistic instruments. It would immediately elevate your overall sound.

AMALA BACK IN THE LIGHT Well here Amala asks for feedback musically and lyrically as if he wants a real review. Yawn these things take time and this version of back in the light should perhaps been seen as a rough demo. Musically it just feels like the song needs more changes. But Amala does keep the song to a commercial 2:42. These are just opinions of course but what I would do is start off in a minor key, maybe a bit slower tempo and then change to major key and more upbeat tempo when "I'm Feeling those feelings." I'm not sure the double tracking vocals are best here maybe it's OK to sound a bit weathered. But the first thing I heard was what sounded like a midi keyboard track for drums. These can now be converted into real drums if you pull the midi into your daw and then run it through a drum plug in. The song could sound a lot more real then it does here.

This is a very nice gentle song with a nice message about transformation. I like the echo on the vocal which flows nicely. Production is good with a steady beat, guitar and good bass flow.

Try lowering the reverb of your voice a bit. Also give great importance to the rhythm of the song is very good, and the bass line as well. Sounds like a good topic to me. Where you from? Are you from Chicago?

Back In The Light by AMALA has a hummable, memorable pop chorus that is going to stick with you. The request was for some constructive criticism, so if I had to look for area of improvement I think it would be mostly in the vocal performance. When creating a song that many people will hear, and might be online for years to come, you want to nail every word, every line as much as possible. If you hear any pitch issues, re-sing the line, or the chorus or whatever is needed to "nail" the vocals. I really enjoy the positive message of this song, and this kind of a boost is needed all over the world right now! Perfect those vocals, back off the vocal delay just a little and you'll have the song you can be proud of for posterity.

The intro caught my ear immediately as a fun song. Unfortunately more attention needs to be paid to the vocals. Some of the vocals are out of tune. I would STRONGLY suggest you hire a vocalist to sing the song and add harmonies. The melody works it just needs the polish of a good vocalist. The instrumental works as well.

Hi everyone it's time for another review here on number one music so here we go, this song is a very good track it reminds me of early English best and blues travelers start out with a nice intro including some nice bass and drum tracks.theres a lot of nice layering going on with the guitars and keyboards. Also, there's a nice vocal. And Good mixing and nice panning. This is a well thought out track

What a Happy Melody..I like It.. of cost You know that This is Just Demo in the Making but I do think It is Worth to put More into..is Happy and this is what The World need in time like that..take Your time make a more Complex Arrangement and make sure that The Vocal is better ( some notes are off The Tune )..when all is done go for and send It out .. let's see what will happen..who knows for WHAT "They" are looking for at tis time.. One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song we get a great jazzy intro. Vocally - I like Amala's voice. I'm not thrilled with the echoy effects created though. I think he's stronger without the added production. Great message and fun.
