My thoughts on I know, Oh Jesus..
The beginning is serious and let's me know this is going to be a dramatic presentation... that being said, the enchanting keys dancing about would have been a better start for this song - it is in reality the hook instrumentally. The lower strings would have been nice to bring in later. Waiting a bit for the lead vocals to enter this lovely song might be more dramatic? That doesn't ruin this beautiful song, but a lighter beginning would likely be more inviting... The song's lyrics and soft vocals are a prayer from the heart to Jesus - and the Chorus line: I know, Oh Jesus that you hear is the cry of every heart to have God understand our suffering/pain & hurts...The words ring true and touched me as the song progressed. I could sense this was a very personal song - in the way it was sung; and that makes this song though very somber and dramatic not sorrowful - but rather thankful and grateful for being understood by the One Who knows suffering better than anyone. Overall, this song as a whole is perfect for a big stage production with lights, special effects, and an orchestra! I can hear a chorus of voices on the ending of this song taking it up and up and then coming crashing down - with just piano and voice for the very ending. Hooray! As it stands - this is a very very powerful and well executed song. Wow! Thanks for sharing. Michael
