Adam Barns is a audio engineer / producer / bass player / music appreciator. Adam has been working in recording studios for over 10 years, owned and ran the infamous Smokin & Jokin Recording Studio in Artarmon, Sydney, Australia for seven years where he produced over 150 albums, EP's and demos for bands such as: Unpaid Debt, The Porkers, Bagster, The Casino Rumblers, Zombie Ghost Train, Heifer, Samsara and Age Of Menace. Today Adam works as a freelance Producer/Engineer in several recording studios across Sydney whilst also setting up a temporary space called "The Hangar" in Sydney's west that served as a recording space for a few personal projects. Adam plays bass in two bands, and know that when you record it really helps to be in the studio with someone who has an understanding of the bands sound and production style. Adam co-produced Great Plains with Chris and Andrew creating a sound that is similar in style to music icons Robbie Robertson, Buffy Saint Marie and John Trudell.

It has been a joy and a pleasure to highlight images from my decades long journey across the Great Plains of the United States of America for the "Great Plains" album that Chris Fisher and I wrote and produced." The recently created video clips of the eleven songs now add a new dimension to the lyrical content and the amazing melodies that Chris and Adam arranged over a eighteen month period. Stories written about the origin of each song that were originally published in the sixteen page colour booklet for the compact disc production can now be viewed below the "Lyrics" button. Hopefully "The Visual Journey in Words and Music" now uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo and Number1Music will inspire and educate interested parties about the Indian Wars of the Lakota-Sioux and Cheyenne Nations on the Great Plains from 1854-1890. And in the process bring to the fore all the brave freedom fighting warriors who stood up against the might of the United States Army to defend their homelands and their cultural way of life.
