In early 2000 Andrew James Ross, an unknown songwriter, emerged. Raised in the suburbs of Baltimore, MD he writes from the heart something, he says, “Not many artists do these days.” Then fourteen years old, he was given a lucky jump in life and music.
The prodigy student of talented Westminster, MD jazz musician and founding member of Delirious Tremor Tim Jenkins, he learned to play his dynamic and rhythmically driven style of folk/rock. Andy says, “when you’re taught by a jazz performer you learn that there are endless possibilities and inevitably no genre or style in which you can be classified.”
Andrew grew up listening to classic rock noting his biggest influences as James Taylor, Steve Miller, and The Eagles.
In late 2000 Andy officialy started his life as a performance musician. He opened up for the classic rock tribute band Crying Backwards. His 45 minute explosive set lent him a standing ovation. Showing his grace and charisma as he ran back and forth in between the audience, Andrew James Ross made it known he was a force to be reckoned with in music.
