About Angela Baker

Angela Baker is from Eastern North Carolina and she is also the third cousin to Ava Gardner. Angela is the last music artist discovered, managed, produced and promoted by the late, great Gospel Music Legend and Promoter “Wally Fowler.” Fowler fostered the music careers of many of the country and gospel greats including Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Sr., Chet Atkins, just to name a few, and Fowler was the originator of the Original Oak Ridge Boys Quartet. Angela and Wally were working together at his untimely accidental death in June of 1994 towards her major label project to be produced by Fowler. Some of Angela’s recording projects include her 1 Hit Country Single “The Hurt In My Heart,” which was released on Platinum Plus Records, located in Nashville, Tennessee during 1997. The Hurt In My Heart single received both national and international radio airplay throughout the world and it charted on numerous radio airplay charts throughout the country. During 1999 Angela was nominated for numerous awards by the Nashville Indie Tracker Magazine and was awarded the Nashville Indie Tracker Magazine “1999 United States Female Vocalist of the Year." Angela was presented with Distinguished Service Awards during 1991 and 1992 from the United States Veteran’s of North Carolina for voluntarily rendering her musical talent to help promote the Aims and Ideals of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars of the United States of America. In the year of 2011 Angela was chosen by the North Carolina Veterans Association and Council of America to have her hands bronzed and permanently placed on the Wall of Honor for her services she has given and rendered to the Veterans throughout the world and throughout the State of (expired link). Angelas hands are now placed on that wall representing Carteret County in the North Carolina State Veterans Park located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Angela has been featured in numerous publications and currently appears on numerous television and radio broadcasts. She is a songstress dedicated to spreading the gospel truth about what God has done for her and sharing her life testimony with people while touching their lives through her songs.
