Seasoned and experienced soul songstress deals up a classic Malaco style song "Doing my own thing" with female chorus, slushy "right on" strings and a mid tempo disco style beat. Probably a synthesised drum sound but this does not detract from the upfront, great vocal performance. I seem to remember she was/is in Jackson Mississippi and this must go down a storm in that neck of the woods. I wonder if she ever makes it up to Memphis as well, where that Hi records sound is still mighty popular. Check this girl out on her 2021 single "Doing my own thing". It's a minor classic right there!

This has a great groove to it... fantastic production with a full and punchy low end which really helps to drive the groove home... and what a great vocal! Love the simple but highly effective horns throughout the track... great song!

Sorry Anissa but this is far from original and rather tedious. Another thang, it goes on forever repeating the title over and over and over again. Apart from that, you have a decent enough voice and could well have huge success with a decent song. Who knows? Although I cannot see your eyes in the picture, I suspect that you probably have a couple. Good luck with everything.

Well, its been some time since I heard any credible Soul music! Anissa "Bigg Sexyy" just gave it to me! Wow! What a voice!! This song has all of the traditional markings of a typical Soul song. The instrumentation is well done. The back up singers are spot on. There are no real faults in this recording!! If the rest of her music is this good, then we'll have another Soul Train star on our hands!! I would really like to hear her sing some blues as well! My educated guess is Bigg Sexyy will knock it out of the park!!

I love the soul in this song. The lyrics are strong and I love it. This song is one I can hear on the radio. I love the lyrics, "Bigg Sexyy don't take no slack". I feel like you said, this song is a game changer. I love the harmonies and this song definitely one that can catch the ears of not only the ladies but the fellas too. Definitely an awesome job. I could not help but remember the dance club sound of the 80's, which is a good thing. There were a lot of great female groups back then; The Pointer Sisters, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Paula Abdul and many more, I could easily see this song being in the playlist of that time. Old enough to remember the club scene back then, but I'm also old enough to not know what the club scene is like today, honestly. That being said, I personally enjoyed this song and can see the marketability of this song and genre even in todays market. I think with a good Producer behind Anissa , giving those little added flavors that they can bring, there's no telling how far this song can go.

I really like this, a strong vocal performance, the backup singers are good too. There is an old “soul” vibe to this track that I really enjoyed. Definitely worth a listen. The drum part is ok, the backing feels a little muffled somehow for me, but the focus is the vocals which, as I said, I really really like.
