WHO IS ANISSA "BIGG SEXYY'' HAMPTON?
Anissa, a soul national and international artist and native of Chicago, Illinois, began singing at the tender age of 3. There is where she spent her early childhood years before moving south to Jackson, Mississippi.
Anissa’s impressive musical range and undeniable charisma has changed the landscape of local entertainment as well as where she travels nationally. Anissa leaves you wanting more with her sultry inviting sound armed with the amazing ability of style, class, and sophistication. Anissa takes you on a journey through most genres of music such as Blues, Soul, R&B, Opera, and Jazz just to name a few and she quotes “There have been so many people with various styles that have been affected in my presentation of song and I never want to be boxed into just one category”.
Anissa has opened for international artists such as: Brian McKnight, Musiq Soulchild, Eric Benét, Regina Belle, Michel'le, and Bobby Rush.
Anissa sang background for Legendary Southern Soul and Blues Singers: Willie Clayton, Calvin Richardson, and Keeshea Pratt.
Anissa has performed in Europe at several countries such as Austria, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.
Anissa’s road to the top of her musical game has been filled with the type of conviction that now caused a younger generation to look to her as a musical influence.
“I’m ready to take my music career to another level”, says Anissa who is positioning herself to becoming a sought after entertainer.
“I am ready to share with the world, what has been given to me”, says Anissa.
As a result, in 2018, Anissa wrote her first lyrics to the single “Big Sexy” which is still going strong today. Since then she has written and co-written lyrics for her singles including “Take It”, “Do You Really Wanna Leave Me”, “Doing My Own Thang”, "Talk To Me", "Watch Yourself" and her most recent released for 2024 entitled “Doggone Shucky Ducky” from her EP titled "All of Me".
