About Anna Leigh Stainton

I'm a Singer/ songwriter from the North East of England. I write acoustic pop songs by myself but also write more rockier pop songs with the bands I am in. I am heavily influenced by musicians such as Ed Sheeran and vocalists like Florence and the Machine and Adele.

I've played gigs from town halls to pubs doing acoustic sets by myself or more lively performances with the 3 bands that I am in. I started singing aged 9 and haven't stopped since. Aged 12 I joined my first band, an all girl band which I'm still in now called Lady Godiva at TCR, going on to join another 2 bands called The Prototypes and Band of Three as well as a bit of radio work with friends. After going in for Live and Unsigned (a competition for bands in hope for a recording contract at the end.) with a friend at 14, I was spotted by Baby Girl Music Academy where I am currently doing my 2nd year there during half terms in London.

One of my best performing experiences was opening for The Animals and Zoot Money when they came to perform in Middleton. They were so nice and supportive, a gig that I never will forget! I'm currently doing some collaborations including a project with a rapper from Teeside sin
