Excellent live recording and accomplished instrumentalists on a great standard to ride on. A great opening number and toe tapper. The only criticism, since it is live, each soloist should have been given credit, bye name.

This tune is absolutely jazztastic! This put me in the mindset of the Harlem. I could see Duke and his cigarette, smiling and chatting with Ella and Billie, as Cab made his way through the crowd of onlookers at the jam session. The saxophone makes its very own melody while the piano player lays down a flavor that absolutely fills the room. Keep doing what you are doing. The musicians that originally composed this tune would be proud! All that was missing - Billie or Ella's voice. Thanks for sharing World Studios.

No doubt about it, if you want to groove with real jazz in your ear, this is one for the taking! Buddy Tate and band deliver a high energy version that will take you on a journey for sure! You'll want to get up from what you're doing to dance! The solos are slick, with tight harmonies that weave around the melody hauntingly. I truly recommend hearing this fine recording.

This is another recording featuring ex-Basie tenor sax player Buddy Tate appearing at Basin Street Club in Toronto. All of Me is taken at a grooving medium tempo. Buddy Tate takes the first solo. He’s a swing style player sort of in a Ben Webster or Coleman Hawkins vein. Amadio takes a piano solo which is followed by a bass solo; then another brief Buddy Tate soli. Then Tate returns to play the melody with some improvising over the melody -ending with a squeaky reed high. Norman Amadio was one of Canada’s top jazz pianists-The Amadio trio were locals from Toronto supporting a visiting American tenor sax great. Historic 1984 performance. Thanks WorldStudios.

Wow I was so amazed with this one. Introduction grabbed my attention but then the music started and my mind was blown. Like I always say music today is nothing like the past. This whole composition was A++ and has a excellent feeling nothing else can create. Music like this touches your soul and you can feel every sound. Loved everything about this.

Das weiß ich gar nicht wo ich anfangen , was mir dieser live Performance besonders gefällt. Fange ich mal beim Kontrabass an, denn das ist auch mein Instrument. Der kommt sowohl spieltechnisch als auch klanglich extrem cool rüber. Herrlich weicher, runder, fetter Kontrabass-Klang und das lange, sehr gelungene Solo ist einfach hervorragend - ganz weit oben:) Ich würde auch gerne so gut spielen können. Auch alle Instrumente boxen ganz klar in der Profi-Liga. Mir gefällt auch besonders der Live Schlagzeug Sound und das hervorragende Saxofon. Bin schwer beeindruckt von dieser großartigen Live Darbietung. Gerne mehr davon.

I really enjoy the sound of this band so authentic and brings me to a place in life that was simple even with all of its complexities I love it so wonderful. I find myself listening to each instrument as if there solo but yet working as one unit its wonderful. This is a great piece to listen to with dinner alone or just outdoors with nature itself. I haver decided to purchase this album in hopes for new horizans and also great depths in jazz. Keep on keeping on fella's love it!
