I'm A Fool To Want You LIVE
Song Reviews
Classy!
Soothing, and relaxing. I love how the pianist supports the singer. It was something very nice to wake up to today. I normally don't listen to this type of jazz, but this has given me a nice new outlook on this style, and I REALLY enjoyed the pianist! Excellent work!

Great song with the perfect mood
This song provides a classic feel and appeal to the meaning of standard jazz with the strong flavor of classiness. I really enjoyed the vibe, mood, and delivery model of this tune. The vocals and emotional feel were great and the piano simply complimented and added the right seasoning to the song. Along with the upright bass and drums that gave it the final layer helped seal the classiness of this song. Keep creating because this is a great tune!

Ohh - smokey. Love it.
I'm a Fool To Want You is a wonderfully smokey atmosphere torch song, sung with the right attitude and backed perfectly. I loved the way it started out simply and built up to the piano solo and then built up again to a crescendo, into a drop and the full finish. It is a live recording so little things aren't a problem and indeed makes the tune more personal. I did notice one cymbal hit was maybe a bit loud, but that's just one little instance. Also noted the vocal wavered a bit out of key on some of the lowest breathy notes, adding a nice blues touch. The piano solo was nicely executed and the sound of the sax was exactly right for the song and the genre. Well done everyone.

dreamy ballad
velvety, dynamic, beautiful, sensitive, musical, skilful, "I'm A Fool To Want You" a fantastically played ballad with a great voice and a band recorded to a high standard. A song to listen to again and again! A must for every jazz lover!

Nice and Easy :-)
So many wonderful moments !!! I Love the vibe of this lovely piece of work. So comfortable and inviting to listen to. No reigns involved here. Everyone is paying attention to the other. Nice dynamics and beautiful solo works. Stylistically so genuine. my request to the lovely lead vocalist is to relax the lower jaw on the lower notes. It certainly helps in a very few of those pesky notes tending to go only so slightly sharp or flat. BRAVO! Chill bumps accomplished... Thank YOU

Jazz club greatness
I’m a fool to want you is a live exploration of what a live performance would sound like at a jazz club. The smooth vocals along with the smooth instrumentation compliments each other well. Smooth jazz meet classic standard jazz is what you hear with this song. Beautiful blend. Great jazz is a lost art in the music world today but this song makes it seem that the genre of jazz will be just fine when I’m the right hands. Great song with the vibes to compliment the moods. Perfect rating. I can see no flaws in the song. Well done

Noire Night at Rick's
This has a very old school feel. By old, I mean it is a smokey bar, and the vocal is like melting ice in my drink. Clinky and smoldering like a long lost chord. Very nice. Me likee. Piano solo moves along with dripping chromatics and ambience.

Voce preparata

Vibes!
I like the originality of your work. Strong message and creativity is a big plus. Good production, I can hear some good vocals to this, good job on the final mix-down. I can tell you have your heart and soul into what you do. Keep on pushing and never give up or get distracted in pursuing the dream of making it. I like the instrumental blend of sounds with some vocals and the production on the track is good. Keep up the great work! Peace!!!

Nice jazzy arrangement
Excellent vocal jazz recording. Piano solo is spot on, great bass, drums can barely be heard, though. Sax is doing some nice lines in the background. I'd say that the piano work stands out on this recording. Vocals are sultry and dark, beautifully performed, but that said, jazz is too full of torch songs, it's cliche upon cliche, lacking in originality.

Female Sinatra
I'm A fool to Want You was recorded by Frank sinatra many years ago, It proves that classics done right are still possible in a modern-day, hook-oriented musical universe. This is one of those times ranking right uyp there with some of the multitudes of r-recorded versions. I is done in a live setting with very a capable backing ensemble of piano, upright bass, sax and drums. The vocalist has a very sultry voice with great phrasing. I'm sure Frank is looking down and smiling everytimer this recording is played.

Very Well Done !!! I love this one !!!
Yes, Yes, Yes !!! AMAZIMG !!! Congratulations to World Studios on another amazing piece of work. I was very captivated by the sound and the feel of this track. Mixed very well, and the ambience of the live setting as well as the work from both the vocalist and the Piano player are very impressive. The instrumentation on this one is great. I love the upright bass. The sound is nice, clean and clear. It has that old time jazz club feel and sound that brings back the memories of vintage jazz from way back. A live recording done very well. Congratulations on this one !!! Very well done !!!

Lovely Vocals of Canadian Jazz Singer Ivy Steel
Unfortunately on an iPhone you don’t see the album cover when you’re on the N1M “review” page. So I had to go out of the “review” page and click on the song to see the album cover which included the list of musicians. In any event, this is a wonderful jazz vocal by Ivy Steel recorded a George’s Bourbon Street in Toronto in January 1984. In this tune Ms Steele’s vocals are accompanied mainly by a trio led by long term Toronto resident, American pianist Carrol Britto. Ms Britto was an amazing musician who accompanied in performance and recordings famous American artists such as Chet Baker, Milt Jackson, Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis, Benny Carter and Flip Phillips among others. She studied with the great Canadian pianist Oscar Peterson. So Ms. Steel’s vocals are supported by some of finest Toronto based musicians. Additionally, you hear visiting American “Texas” tenor sax Buddy Tate (ex Basie, Buck & Buddy) lightly comping to gently build the song. Ms. Steel performs the Sinatra tune gracefully and sublimely. It’s a shame we have now lost both Ms. Steel in 2017 and Ms Britto in 2012. Historic recording.
