About Aphantasia (American Visual Kei Metal)

A solo project from a man known as Ruin.

Formed in the early part of 2016, Ruin had sought out to create a somewhat simpler yet powerful form of music. His interest in Japanese culture and music led him from his other solo musical endeavors into this one, taking much influence from many types of Visual Kei bands in the past and onto the modern era of the genre. Beyond that, notable influences range from bands like (expired link)., Lacrimas Profundere, BatAAR and other heavier groups from all over the globe. The music is his passion, and with that passion comes the desire create. His lack of proper studio equipment does not limit him in this, as he continues forward with each song, a piece of his soul. As you may notice, a good number of musical groups, bands etc. will place English lyrics with Japanese, and this has led to the placing of Japanese lyrics in his own songs, as respect to the genre and it's influence globally.
