Song Reviews
Amazing track
Really nice song with a great concept of lyrics and strong message! These guys are pretty good and the music too, it's very well played, composed and produced! Well done boys! We are really curious of how far you guys are going to go and if you are going to play at (UK) at some point give us a shout and we might play together! Check us out at facebook: October Ends. Our new EP is out on Spotify too! Peace! (Y)

This is My Fault...
From the jump, I heard the tone and thought it was needed some EQ, but it wasn't until the vocals started that I realized this was deathy stuff. The EQ is fine, if that's the case, because that's what you were going for, yeah? So. Good use of the keys in the background to fill up the scoop left out of the guitar sound. The twin leads worked pretty well together, especially right before the Iron Maiden-esque breakdown about three quarters of the way through. I wish that part was a little longer. Nobody wants to do any derivative stuff, but those parts are great. Good structure. Even though it was almost seven minutes long, I never found myself waiting for the song to end. Even through the cookie-monster bits, which I'm not really a fan of. This is pretty nicely put together. If I had any constructive criticism, it might be to make the lead a bit less harsh. At high volumes, and especially on headphones, it kind of cut through my head. If you're not using the neck pickup on that, try it.

Melodic metal from Bergen, Norway
Just plowed through ApocaliptiCs album The Prophecy on Spotify and.... Yeah. This is good stuff! I'm into melodic metal so this is my cup of tea. There are a few obvious influneces here and names like Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Children of Bodom, etc. pops into mind, but I don't mind. It is neatly blended onto Apo's own musical style and it work nicely. They label themselves "melodic death", but to me the only death-like element here is the vocal. Now, I don't wanna dwell too much on labels, so I'll leave the subject. What really stands out are the almost ever ongoing guitar melody lines. The guitar sound is a bit thin to my taste, but combined with subtle synth, they give the songs a nice epic touch. Songs are all well arranged and have a lot of variation that fills out the realtively lenghty compositions and the vocal is just enough "in your face" to add some aggression. The names of these guys indicates an origin a bit east of the shores of Bergen, but I really like the feel of the vocal lines in what I assume is polish. All in all this was a pleasant finding and I'm definately gonne check them out further (allready liked them on Facebook - lol) and I recommend you doing the same thing :-)

Good job
Overall this is really well done, very catchy and I got into it. Love the different layers that you put together, it definitely has a great sound. Now the picky part. the sound of the guitar in the beginning has a nasal quality, a bit piercing. there's a frequency somewhere in there that needs to come down. Just a thought -> I think you've laid out a great track for more of an Iron Maiden style vocals but 1. For me least, Bruce Dickenson is hard to sing 2. Death Metal is the genre, so take my advice very lightly, consider it an idea if it can work for you, if not, it's all still good. really nice job though, love the drums, different guitar parts, it's well put together.

Old school still good^^
First, I didn't see it was Death Metal in description. When I hear the beginning, I was thinking about bands like Borknagar or first Cradle of Filth, except for the voice of course. The voice is Death Metal, it's sure^^ And I really like the old school sound, the rythm sometime folk een if I know it's Death Metal. Really good discovering and I'm not surprised because it's a band from Norway and it can only be good music^^

Nice Melodic Death Metal
This is a really nice tune, pretty epic and melodic at the same time. I like how you mixed the heavy melodic style with the Death Metal voice, the result is really cool. Keep it up and Stay Metal ! \m/

excellent guitar play
Melodic death as its finest! Excellent guitar play, with some classic attitudes. The deep voice plays a subordinate role in this song, 80% of the song is instrumental. I don't know, if it is drumcomputer or a real drummer, whatever, the double bass play is amazing. The production and the mix of the song is well. Overall, I think it's a very well song of these guys from Norway.

Great melodic death/power metal
This is well produced and executed stuff. Lots of guitar melodies. It has a death metal vibe in the vocals. The music is more of the power metal variety. Cool mix. It definitely sounds Scandinavian. It's more of an instrumental with vocals at the front and back end. Pretty catchy guitar lines too. Thumbs up! \m/\m/

Man this band grabbed me right form the start of the song..with melodic guitars and thunderous double bass! The guitar work is very good, and not over the top! This band is simply heavy as shit..with a dose of Amorphous and other technical thrash, death metal. These guys got me as fan for sure!!

good song writing.
the song writing here is pretty good, complete with guitar solos that actually make sense, rather than pointless fast noodling. however, the guitar tone is a bit too "buzz saw" sounding for me, but that is simply a matter of personal taste. overall, a good listen, with better production than most things i've heard on here.

Razors
The first word coming in to my head was razors. The riff guitars are like razor blades sweeping throught the air. Excellent! The mix is very clear, riff guitars could perhaps have been little bit lower in the mix. Very good mix anyway. Song is mostly instrumental having only two crowled sections. Interesting turning point in the song about in 2/3rd of the song. The tone in the guitars and the riffs in the song bring Petri Walli in my mind. Finnish guitarist (RIP) from Kingston Wall.

Great musicianship
The harmonizing guitars are really great. The drum mix is great as well nice double bass. The vox however are not mixed properly even by death metal standards. The need to be better EQ and they also need a good bit of compression the levels between the highs and lows are way off compression would have balanced them nicely. Otherwise great band!!

Sodom and Gomorrah
Man, what a heavy song! There is a great and aggressive feeling here. The production is ok for a demo sound. I'd like to hear this song with a better production. This song really got me and makes my head bangs a lot. Very good job guys!

Awesome!
Heavy, melodic...what's not to love? You are one of my favorite bands. Always good stuff from your camp! This is excellent, as usual!! I love the direction of this song and the way you carry yourselves. Excellent musicianship, awesome production, incredibly well done! Everything is well balanced, and perfectly executed. I've recommended your songs, many many times, because you deserve the praise...unlike some others who scrape by on pure bullshit. Keep up the excellent work! Best luck in your obvious bright future!!! CHEERS

Riffa from Hell!!
Hi! The First Thing that I think about this Song is that here we are a perfect mix of Power and technique. Very good Guitar riffs, the intro is Amazing and the rest of the Song is raw and wild. Also the voice make a good work, raw and direct to the ears of the people. The drummer is awesome! Very clear and Powerful from the begin to the end. The bass is extremely Powerful in the background. Excellent work guys, very good from every point of view! I Hope for you a very bright future!! Very, very good!!!

Musically very skilled workers performing a Sodom and Gomorrah here...
Musically very skilled workers performing a Sodom and Gomorrah here. All instruments are well played and versatile mix of harmonies are used as well as the drums bring in a vast variety of speed switches and cool double bass parts. I like the guitar and drum sound and the mix is good. But for my feel the mastering part could be improved a little. And last but not least the vocals are not mine, I miss the harmonies. But that's Death Metal in Sodom and Gomorrah!
