Arizona Slimm is the definition of an Independent Artist, from writing to recording to mixing to mastering to album art creation. Currently based in Atlanta, Georgia, Slimm is fairly new to the ATL music scene, but no stranger to the hustle that is Atlanta. "I only f*ck with the real, when I moved to Atlanta from Arizona in 03', I was 19 on my own in a new city and state. Not to mention I moved to the southside off Washington Rd. then to Hidden Woods off Godby Rd., my neighbor would be in the house cooking dope like it was Sunday dinner. Sh*t becomes the norm after a while and I had to get the f*ck on..." After copping a stolen laptop from a homeboy, Slimm decided to put his musical background to work and taught himself how to make beats, "I was always getting into some sh*t, but one thing my moms always made me do since a young boy was sit down practice the piano, 12 years straight! I hated it back then, but I appreciate the blessing now..." Slimm's musical influences range from Gucci Mane, Future and Young Scooter to Jadakiss, Jay-Z, and Fabolous to Dr. Dre, Mannie Fresh, Pharrell, Lex Luger and Kanye West.
