Review Armand- Marielle _ By LaSueede
Easy Guitar in the beginning. I here a midi bass and some midi drums. There comes in a clavier in the background. There is a nice undertone lyrics with an very beauty as inviting us to Montreal. There is also some background voices that sounds pretty ok. Maybe there was some tunes that missed but only minor and the main voice was very easy and masculine. There was a mixing between Country, Gospel. A duble 12 string guitar would suite this music well. Nice effort and good quality recording. Not really my kind of music but Ok Regards L

In MY Opinion
Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning anothers creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the backing music. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of -down to earth as they say. The harmonies and mix levels was just right. They let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to get sit back and listen to the complete song. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

Mariella
Hello, Let me start by saying that when I review a song my point of view is if the tune is commercial viable. Which is to say could one pitch the song to a producer or an artist? The other point of view would be from you as the artist. Then one either likes it or one doesn't. There is a lot to like about this song. The melody is strong....The structure is good and flows nicely from section to section....The production is simple and effective. Prosody overall is good but more on that later..... Well done! The hook is generally supported in a story format which is always a nice technique to utilize. For the most part the words meld nicely with your melody and production. The main issue I have is with the chorus... The last line of the chorus specifically. "Say a prayer for your cousins and the things you want to do." It's a nice line and it works generally... but I feel there should be more attention directed towards finalizing the chorus....glueing the concept together....Say a prayer for your cousins is an interesting idea but I'm not feeling how that ties in to the rest of your concept. If it were me I might look for a stronger ending phrase. In general look for better word choices through out the song. Overall a strong effort but as with all tunes the last leg of the journey is the dreaded re-write stage.... making sure that every line supports the hook and overall concept. Good work and keep writing! RW

Beautiful
A beautiful intro takes you into a smooth, folk like song. This is a beautiful, beautiful song that could of come from any home town of anywhere. The production is excellent and the harmonies are superb. The musical arrangement is subtle and I particularly like the organ and the off beat guitar. Magic !

Beauty in simplicity. Sweet song and beautiful melody that take one back to old folk roots. The melody is catchy and gets stuck in your head and makes you want to grab a partner and dance.

I'm swaying in time!
The dance-like melody of Marielle is very likable. Armand, your pitch is great and the harmonies are very pleasant. I like your instrumentation and the folky nature of the arrangement. The pattern of verse/chorus tells the story of your time with your cousin. If you want to add interest to this song or to future pieces, which I hope you'll write, consider adding a bridge. In this case you could let the instruments play for a bit between "say a prayer for your cousin and the things you want to do, Marielle" and the "I'll be in Rogersville..." verse. Who couldn't resist a good accordion break, right?! Please keep up the good work!

Impressive song from the heart
The song starts off with two rhythmic guitars, who are playing the main role in this recording. All the way from stanza to the chorus is accompained of versatile acoustic-guitar sound. Additionally soft melodies of an accordion is a extra factor what makes the song engaging for me. Armand Richard has unique vocals and the intro sounds like a story. He has a also great talent to give an account in words about someone or something, including all relevant characteristics, qualities, or events. The chorus is impressive and the words come from the heart. The arrangemend sounds definitely professional and I like the easy mood of the song. It´s a quintessence with traditional music elements of Quebec influenced from country and western style. Fine orchestrated chords from the guitars and the virtuos accordion in the backround carries the recording. Ambitious composition from the songwriter and really outstanding recording. Perfect mastered song and I´m sure you will also like to add it. Let others know your recommedation.

Nice song
Hi. Nice song. Very charming. You prove that classical instrumentation with lovely lyrics still can do it. I was always a fan of the great Canadian songwriter Daniel Lanois, but this surely can compete with him. I also have a female friend who lives about a hundred kilometers away from me and we meet eachother only twice a year, but when we meet eachother we make eachother laugh. She's special to me. This song surely is worthy of being played on the radio. But, I don't know, maybe that's already happened in your region. The composition of the song is quite basic, but I like the way it ends; there are not many songwriters that apply autocues/fade-outs anymore nowadays. Very curious for more of your music. Bien
La melodía de esta canción es un tanto previsible, pero es bonita. La interpretación es muy buena tanto vocal como instrumental, los coros quedan muy bien y el sonido es bueno. En general me parece una buena canción, bien interpretada, con amor por la música que hace. The melody of this song is predictable, but it's pretty. The performance is very good, both vocal and instrumental, the chorus is very good and the sound is good. In general I think it's a good song, well performed, with love for the music it makes.
