Time
A Long long time ago
An Old man said to me
Boy don't be takin' this here life too seriously.
Be lighthearted. Be carefree. Embrace your youth and live life in harmony.
I laughed at him & called him crazy
I made jokes of what he said
Now that old mans words
Are from my lips being said.
You see
Time it is tricky
And
Time it travels quick
Time passes ever so silently
Stealing with every tick
We are all one equally
When it comes to time
To say it was too short
Is meant to ease a mind.
Youth enjoy it even if
it seems way too long
Because before you know it
The treasures it held will soon be gone
That 25 year old that you once were
Is now turning 51
Like a blink of an eye all that time
Gone to who knows where
Savor every moment not as if it were your last just remember in a moment it will be the past
Take time to love each other
Forget about this hate
There's no sense in fighting
Because in the end
We all have the same fate.
We wish that we could turn back time.
And if we could wouldn't it be strange
Everyone hurrying to make things right.
The thought itself is so deranged.
Our time it seams to some
May be coming to an end
If this or that thing happens
Then we are doomed for sure
I think mother nature knows
When she won't stand for more.
So now I am the old eyes
It's been quite a ride
I've seem pain and happiness
And I have felt them deep inside.
I know now what the old man meant
And I'm sorry that I didn't take his advice
But then again if I had
I would have missed this life
One thing I have learned
And I'm not afraid to share
We all end with one last breath
And someone somewhere cares.
