About AYFX
Producer of electronica music, ranging from ambient to trance. Fascinated by digital music production and massively influenced by artists such as Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Brian Eno, Air, Groove Armada, Moby, and Daft Punk, Andrew Young started making music at towards the end of 2002 under his name, later changing his artist name to AYFX to emphasise the level of compression and reverberation evident in so many of his tracks (thus the FX) and, of course, the artist's initials (AY).
AYFX got the ball rolling with the track 'Ambient Revolution', a tune that Andrew Young had intended to bring the best of both chilled and upbeat vibes together. There has always been a fair amount of variety to AYFX's music given the artist's love for chillout and trance. The first major track created by AYFX was 'See The Light' in 2004, a tenacious trance tune, and this was soon followed by 'Makes Me Feel Alright', 'Come Close', 'Don't Let Me Go', and last, but not least, 'Panic Stations'.
By 2006, the sound of AYFX had begun to mellow considerably with tracks such as 'Musical Idyll', 'Star Gazer', and 'Vision of Paradise', the latter being one of Andrew Young's favourite productions to date. Furthermore, the making of 'Haunted Ne
