About Beach Bum Pirate
I am the Beach Bum Pirate aka Scott Ramsey, a musician with the tropical feel of the Caribbean. Hailing from Kentucky I moved to Florida in the early 1990's where I fell in love with the beach life and started writing songs about the pirate life I have come to love so much.
I grew up in Louisville and lived most of my life in the city near the River. I had more jobs than I can count and learned a lot from all of them. Soon I became a phlobotomist which brought me to move to Florida where I met my wife Susan. We got married on Halloween which was awesome. We have been together for 20 years and have a Son Brandon who is now in college at FGCU who I am very proud of.
I have been writing songs most all my life however when I got bit by the Beach bug, it opened my mind to a whole new world of music. Most of my songs are about Pirates, Beaches & Rum in the Sun. The Tropical Life is the only way for me and when I start thinking about how lucky I am living in paradise the songs truly write themselves.
One of my songs called Daiquiri Days has a verse in it which says, "Every Days a Treat we all need to try" I truly believe that and I hope that when people listen to my music it gives them that feeling of a tropical escape I feel everyone needs in this day to day crazy life we all live.
I truly want to spread & share this tropical love I have for the Sea, Beaches and the all around paradise I live in. When I preform my music I want people to escape from the hustle & bustle of their fast pace lives and take time to enjoy my feel good music.
My New CD which is called "Living on Island Time" is a collection of some of my favorite songs which I feel will enhance your next trip to the beach, a cruise or just hanging around the pool with songs like, Salt~Life, Tropically Impaired, Open the Bar & Hangover in Paradise.
So Open the Bar, Open the Rum and if there is no beach just find a pool. Sit back & relax with that tall Boat Drink and sing along to the Beach Bum Pirate and lets enjoy paradise together. ~_/)~
