2007 the german Band "Beat The Waves" released their debut 'KIDS ON THE STREET' (Def Riff/Soulfood Music) in cooperation with the known producer EROC (The Yardbirds, Johnny Cash). In August 2007 the German Band "Beat The Waves" released their first record 'KIDS ON THE STREET'. (Def Riff/Soulfood Music) The internationally known producer EROC (The Yardbirds, Johnny Cash) supported this piece of Rock 'n' Roll, which is inspired by the sound of the 70s. The press calls singer and guitarplayer Marcel Sachsenroeder "young David Bowie" and invents expressions like "Space-Rock-Epic".

"BEAT THE WAVES" was founded in 2001 by the singer and songwriter Marcel Sachsenroeder, who's songwriting has been the groundwork of the band's vitality ever since. With his expressive and versatile music he verbalizes his ideals of life and society. The trio is rounded out by the sophisticated but young musicians Felix Engel on drums and Dennis Moebus on bass, who enrich the music with their special style of playing, combining elements of Jazz, Blues and Funk to a groovy feeling and fundament.

The intensive working relationships with organizations against racism and anti-Semitism coined the image of the band, supporting a compilation and several concerts.
