Through various genres of music, I have been brought into produce, mix and master since the early 1990s. Before then, I was composing for duos and solo performances. The music covered has been Classical, Indie, World - sometimes working in different languages!; But whatever was brought to the table, it has always been challenging and a learning curve but always rewarding.

just sending you all my best wishes and hoping that you are all safe and well and managing OK in this unsettling time. Most of the artists I know are having to rethink their daily activities as there are no music tours to plan or to perform at but it seems the virtual world is doing fine. As Rory Cellan Jones wrote for a BBC article, how would we have managed before 2005; before the techie creative boom? Somewhere there must be a genius programmer creating the hologram to get your favourite musicians turning up to play a gig in your front room! Maybe that is already happening?
It is so quiet here that all I can hear is bird song. A sound that seems over time to have become more and more distant as we have become louder and louder.

It is the debut release from the artist, a gap in the clouds.
You have all sent such encouraging emails to Pushing Little Cells and hopefully this will not stop as your support is totally appreciated and we really want you to enjoy the music.
You may have seen that after GOOD THINGS there is a follow-up song from PLC: Angels in Reality (AIR).
The amazing painting chosen by a gap in the clouds to reflect the music is by Angela Morray Jones. Angela has been commissioned by Belting Music over many years for a number of original projects. She paints on old 5x3 library cards and says that her work ‘represents a dialogue with the unconscious as an intuitive process.’

Some earlier live recordings are a deliberate attempt to recreate the creative processes that occur when people get together to write stuff! During their monthly meet up, Piers & Jeremy fire ideas at one another across the kitchen table using Piers’ lyrics as the kick start. No ideas are lost as we record every sound plus much of the banter and tangential irrelevances!
The ideas can arrive in profusion but then given over to the harder work of editing! By the end of the weekend, providing we have eaten well and the kitchen has been warm the repertoire has usually been added to.
These recordings try to capture the initial unsophisticated relationship between 2 classical guitars & 2 voices; using no tricks, no overdubs. Beltingmusic showcases just 3 tracks and is a small part of a much larger body of work.
Our aim in starting the partnership in January 2008 was to write as much new material as possible within an hour, within a morning, within a day etc.
