About Belting Music

Belting Music records and promotes diverse styles of contemporary and original music. Belting Music cherishes 'The Sound!'. Here it introduces to you the song writing partnership between Piers Innes and Jeremy Creighton Herbert. The duo is Pushing Little Cells and Good Things is featured on Pushing Little Cells; their debut album released in late January 2016!
Some earlier live recordings are a deliberate attempt to recreate the creative processes that occur when people get together to write stuff! During their monthly meet up, Piers & Jeremy fire ideas at one another across the kitchen table using Piers’ lyrics as the kick start. No ideas are lost as we record every sound plus much of the banter and tangential irrelevances!
The ideas can arrive in profusion but then given over to the harder work of editing! By the end of the weekend, providing we have eaten well and the kitchen has been warm the repertoire has usually been added to.
These recordings try to capture the initial unsophisticated relationship between 2 classical guitars & 2 voices; using no tricks, no overdubs. Beltingmusic showcases just 3 tracks and is a small part of a much larger body of work.
Our aim in starting the partnership in January 2008 was to write as much new material as possible within an hour, within a morning, within a day etc.
Pushing Little Cells can be found on the usual retail digital outlets. iTunes, Amazon, etc.
