Very smooth and relaxing. Put me in the feel earth, wind, and fire but with the holy spirit lol. I love it. It's old school feel with a lil modern sound to it. Very pleasing to the ear. To God be the glory.

Deleon Mitchell's recording of "God Is" has a nice R&B groove, easy like Sunday morning, but his lead vocal is agile and sung with conviction. The production is low-budget, but clean, and the band is tight. The words are simple, and from a songwriting standpoint, very simple. Near the end of the song, a 3-part backing vocals group starts singing, which adds interest I would have like to have heard starting earlier in the song. One of the singers is a little pitchy on the high notes. All in all, the conviction and skill of the lead vocal carries this song.

Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the message. Think about a solo break to step away from vocals for a short period. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful, yet full of emotion. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. I like the introduction it is smooth and mellow. It reminds me of the late 80's/early 90's music. The blank space before the music comes in needs to be removed for radio. That can be easily done through a music editor. It's difficult to hear what the background singers are singing at times.

I also have a song called God Is! Some of the words are the same letting you know that GOD is the same to everyone! I really enjoyed this song! I'm going now to listen to more! Keep working for the Lord! It doesn't seem like work to me anymore! I LOVE IT!

I was thinking while my soul was being touched that.....if he had a strong choir behind that song, i believe it would be the new national athem for the Lord. But heard the idea at the end, sopranos would kill that part but overall I LOVE IT.

You have a great voice and you have a great range. The melody flows like a river wit4h your voice. The back ground music is so smooth and melodic and of course the words glorify the King Of Kings. Hi Deleon. I love a song where it starts out opened end as this; God is . . . . , and where you fill it in with all the ways that He fulfills His promises to us. You have created a nice flowing arrangement of music to groove on for sure. You have a tremendous voice, but I noticed a few places where you are trying to sing so loud that you sing either flat or sharp. That kind of distracts me a bit. ;) I am not trying to be negative with this comment, but I am the kind of person who would rather hear more ways of how He is than the showcasing of your vocal range. (Those are also some of the times where you seem to go flat or sharp; as you are trying to hit too many different notes at a time and lose a bit of vocal control) ;) Keep on sharing the good news of Jesus in song my brother. I love this song! The lyrics are so true and it's so soothing to my soul! <3 I really like songs that have a old school feel to it and the beat and melody is so good on this song. I can listen to it over and over again without feeling bored of it and best of it all is that God is so awesome and this song tells it!

Your voice keeps this song not just because the song is a Gospel classic, but because it is strong and believable in regards to your emotion behind the purpose of the song. Tip:, your voice overpowers the music production. The backing vocals add to the production are an addition but to much treble or missing a bottom. Great job otherwise.
