Get down on your knees and pray review. this is a strictly Rock Ballad piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in Rock Ballad style as I said everything recalls the Rock Ballad genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a Rock Ballad piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job

My troubles
Thank you for sharing your music.. I have created a relationship with Him and have been listening to some teachings by Dr Myles Munroe.. I wish I knew these principles when I was a teen. Prayer is so. Important to believe and have faith. To find your purpose and passion yet mainly knowing that he gave his life for us.. That he died for everything we are so worried about . Life and illnesses he died for them all.. thanks again for your music.

country blue grass praying song
well done Betty. you have a congregation sing-along number here. have a re-visit with the dubbed in harmony line. I suggest it needs less volume, as it currently sits at a higher level than the melody. For the actual harmony line, as the end of each verse and at the end of each chorus, the notes for the last line "get down on my knees and pray", in the key of F, are: get down on my knees and pray F F F F E E F I would suggest changing it to: get down on my knees and--- pray F F F F E C Bb A essentially following the melody as it goes down and ends on the F My two cents worth :) Keep on writing!

Get down on your knees and pray
There are moments that we do not know what to do, moments of hopelessness; this Song encourages us to pray to God who will not fail us. Praying is talking to God, it is an intimate moment with God who knows everything. Great message.

Pray
Great song. The words are right on. Prayer is the key to success in everything we do. He has answered many of my prayers over the years because he is so good. The greatest prayer he answered for me is when He forgave me of my sins many years ago. Keep up the good work singing for Jesus. When you get a chance check out my music on this site. God bless you and have a great day. David Erickson

Get Down On Your Knees and Pray
"Get Down On Your Knees and Pray" is a good gospel song. It tells the story of the Good News of Jesus Christ, and what it cost Him to allow us to be heard, when we pray! The music is also good. I like the guitar playing and the tempo. However, the guitar solo sounded muffled in a couple of spots. The singing was really good, but toward the end of the song the harmony singing went a little sour or off key. All in all I like the song, and I'm sure others will too.

Get down on your knees
I like the musical arrangement of this tune. The chord progressions are classic county, so there's many different lyrical arrangements one could try. It seems like the main message of this song is for a sinful person to pray to God if they are in trouble and feel forsaken by the world. I like that the lyricist compels anyone in such circumstances to seek forgiveness from God, but I think the most important message of the gospel is being left out. The first word of the gospel is for all to come to repentance before seeking forgiveness. To my mind, since this songs seems to be an outreach for sinners, it would make more sense for the lyricist to emphasize the need for sinners to repent of their sins first, Otherwise, the songs makes it seem like anyone can get down on their knees and pray to God when they're in trouble and be forgiven without having to repent. I like the mix of the instrumental arrangement and the blending of all the sounds, but the mix for the lead vocals seems to be bit lower volume than the background vocal. Switching the levels of the lead vocal to be louder than the background vocal would sound more congruent with the whole song mix.

This song reminds me of the old days before all the technology. It sounds like a live band playing, they are doing a great job with the music. The mix on the vocals are somewhat reverse, the lead vocals are lower than the layover (background) vocals and usually it's the other way around. I also heard a couple of those layovers hit off key. Other than that i am good with the song. Maybe you can get back in the studio and change those layovers that throws your song off. I think you should rerecord and then release the song. Over all I think the song is good and has a good message. Build your song the way you heard it before you created it.

Get Down On Your Knees and Pray
Hi again Betty. I do like the type of music that you have chosen, but I must say that the musicians seem to be hunting or searching for a tempo. It sounds uncertain and a bit clumsy. ;) There are a few more places through-out the song that seem to get lost for a bit again. I love the story line and the message of course. Great voice and harmonies. Whoa; I hate to have to say it, but about 1 minute before the end, there is a train wreck in the vocal department - both lead and harmony. You might want to consider fixing that. ;) All in all, I think that this could be an awesome song. Blessings, Trev :)

Get Down On Your Knees And Pray
What a very relevant message. It's a oldie but a goodie message. The life of human kind, frailties, and problems never changes. It maybe a different group of people but the same issues. I love this song the music is perfect to the message. The message is clear and the sound of it sounds hopeful. Sounds like a perfect answer to our problems in the past, present and future. I glad for the simplicity of this song and the hook is removable and catchy. This song would good for a movie, as well as just great for radio airplay. I wish I could understand the message for every song I listen to. God bless and keep your song fresh, simple, and clear like it is. This has hit potential as well.

Who kneels anymore ?
Thanks for this song, It is typically country with balanced harmonies and standard rhythm section the second vocal comes in at first thought she was at left field but compliment you well. The lyrics are catchy, and i like the key shift when the banjo comes in and lifts the song, however ooops at about 3 mins you go flat on the harmonies in the chorus and you try to rescue it that was a pity. Still nice song thanks for posting.

Get Down On Your Knees And Pray
I love the Rockabilly Two-Step Country sound of this song. Excellent tempo and percussion, I feel like dancing when I hear the music and I feel encouraged to pray. This is not the typical worship song. This is a song for those who need encouragement to persevere laying all their burdens at the feet of Our Lord. These are powerful lyrics as is the message they speak, " Pray! Jesus knows...He is beside you all the way."

I am so glad you put this song up for review. I just love it ! The first thing I listen for in a song is the message. You nailed it on this song. I am certain you spent lots of time "on your knees praying" as God birthed this song within you. The tempo is extremely captivating. The only negative I heard is the melody part was flat when you modulated up on the last verse. I know this was not your final recording & were just doing a demo. This song will be picked up by "professional" producers but I expect to hear YOU minister it on radio ! God Bless !!!
