CJ Jones is the CEO of CJ Jones Audio Productions, an audio production company specializing in voiceovers for all types of applications: radio and television commercials for corporate clients and church ministries; “broadcast-ready” audio editing; website voicing; TV and radio imaging; special events; voice tracking and more. All projects are completed with a level of excellence that parallels his belief that “Excellence Honors God and Reflects His Character.”

CJ Jones is no stranger to the media industry. For over three decades his incredible vocal talents and skills have dazzled clients around the globe. He has helped create award-winning radio stations, has voiced several major radio and television commercials like the 2003 Super Bowl Gospel Fest radio spots on Urban One iHeart radio, and is noted for his versatility, creativity, power, and style that uniquely defines his gift. With his vast knowledge of music, CJ successfully programmed three formats on the radio.

He currently hosts and produces his radio programs: “The Big Brother CJ Show” and other original, signature broadcasts that air on terrestrial and internet stations across the nation and reach numerous cities across the globe – several of which are Stellar Award-winning stations. The Big Brother CJ Show features songs that “change lives and touch lives” by bridging songs of unity with songs of purpose.

With his diverse experience in radio, television, stage, film, and music, he is a multiple award-winning talent and is described as radical, revolutionary, innovative, and cutting-edge. CJ began his career as a musician (CJ’s Uptown Crew). As one of the contributors to the sound of “Go-Go” (a music genre originating in Washington, (expired link).), he recently appeared in TV One‘s The Beat Don't Stop and the Unsung about Chuck Brown as well as an independent film --The Legend Of Cool Disco Dan.

He is also noted in “The Beat,” a history of GoGo music. CJ is a three-time “WAMMIE” (Washington Area Music Association) award winner and has more than 53 music recordings under his belt. With BB CJ, he charted nationally on Billboard’s top 25 (“Redds & The Boys Movin’ and Groovin’”) and is an NAACP and United Black Fund award recipient.

CJ was also featured and starred in several films and documentaries alongside award-winning actors. “The BBC: Welcome to the Go-Go”, Island Film’s “Good to Go/Short Fuse”, “Streetwise”, “Middle Passage n Roots”, “Melodies From Heaven”, “Straight Up Go-Go”, and the 2013 release of “The Legend of ‘Cool Disco Dan” are part of this list. CJ and his crew have traveled the world performing for presidents, military groups on the USO tour, and various high-profile dignitaries and politicians landing him features in the Rock N Roll Road Trip, and gigs to host several of his TV shows.

Some of CJ’s artifacts are currently on exhibit at the two Smithsonian facilities in Washington, DC: The Corcoran Gallery of Art and the National Museum of African American History and Culture

CJ’s “king-sized voice” brought his journey into the field of broadcast radio where he broke through various barriers. Starting in the Washington DC area, CJ kicked off the first-ever Sunday morning Christian format for DMV WPGC 95.5 Heaven 1580.

He relocated to Tennessee where he oversaw a newly acquired Christian radio station WAHI and introduced a format that successfully integrated various styles of Christian music and became a model station in the industry. CJ then broke ground to be the first African-American broadcaster in the 40-year history of WHCB 95.1 FM a Christian radio station in the Tri-City Tennessee region.

Because of the success of his unique program format, CJ was honored as an industry trailblazer with the 2012 EnSound Music Achievement award.

He is heard on over 50 stations on different radio networks and The Historical WJBE in Knoxville TN with his signature Early Morning Inspirations radio broadcast on weekdays. CJ's recognizable voice is stamped on various networks and affiliate stations that his company has images or produced radio content across the country.

As his career continues, he secures stimulating interviews with the biggest stars in music and entertainment.

CJ’s heart-melting smile and joyous laugh are the signature weapons that he utilizes to win hearts and souls as he unashamedly speaks of God and His love. His presence is truly inspirational. What makes his talent so unique? He believes that radio is the “theatre of the mind.” CJ is now gearing up to introduce a collection of syndicated radio shows and podcasts designed to empower and inspire.

He is also laying the foundations for a life documentary and preparations for his highly anticipated return to the recording industry & Kicking off his broadcast network.
