Both father and daughter born in Fajardo, PR have already been awarded and recognized at the 1er Premios Reggaeton USA in Jackson Heights, Queens, NYC for Duo Mixto Reggaeton USA 2006 PA.

The duo started out of nothing. Jose Torres (Big J) was starting to take things serously with his song writting and rapping career and this got Geraldine Soto's (Yari) attention. While Big J was writting and recording songs on his humble computer, Yari was getting ready with a surprise of her own.

By the year 2004 Yari sang to Big J the beginings of what's now the song "I've been watching you" and Big J's jaw droped to the floor and Big J y Yari was born.

In the year 2006 they recorded a song called Muslo en Kdera which was released on the album "La Antesala." On this same year they have recorded hits like "Yo y Tu", "I've been watching you."

In 2006 Big J y Yari appeared in numerous events performing live. Some noticeable events are the 1er Premios Reggaeton USA 2006 official After Party, Reading PA's and Lancaster PA's Latin Festivals and the historic Bethlehem's Music Fest in Bethlehem, PA.
