Congratulations! A very good song to listen to. The energy she spends is indescribable. All this accompanied by a Rock and a vocal climate well arranged. The guitar is a musical based on keeping all the music expression. The song is very good, as well as harmony it has its own identity, that is, is a song that does not look like any other. A very good battery and a sensational dynamics.

BILL! ~ You got me going on 'this' one cause it reminded me of the Ol' Rolling Stone sound. The track is high steppin' all the way. It was 'busy' all the way thru. The guitar leads need to come up just a bit. They are kinda being drown'd out by everything going on....so just up the volume on the leads and you've got a great Ol' School rocker there. Good Stuff, man....from Gizzmow in Bonham, Texas ~

Protest

Helpful

It's a lo-fi recording with no bass frequency nor stereo image, but the song itself is pretty darn good, an upbeat rocker with a lively melody and tight drums and electric guitar pounding out a relentless rhythm. The vocal is confident and well-suited to the material. Once the ears are adjusted to the transistor-radio sound, the mind forgets and opens up to the song. It's a step back to the 60s, an American folk-rock protest style. The artist might want to consider posting lyrics along with the track, as the song sounds as if it might just be informative of something. Well-done in a very old-fashioned way.

Fun Song

Helpful

I like this song! It is fun and interesting. The overall style reminds me of John Fogerty or Creedence Clearwater Revival. The vocal performance is good and serves the song well. I like the guitar parts too, although I would like to hear the guitar a bit louder in the mix. This recording seems to have too much of the high end frequencies and not enough of the low end, compared to other songs I have heard on Number One Music. This makes the overall sound a little noisy and difficult to hear individual parts and lyrics. Generally though, it's a good song, well played.

High Priestess Not So Royal

I like blues, guitar and basic performance. This sounds live. And not necessarily in a good way. The vocals are too far back on the microphone. The energy is great on everything. The production could be amped up to sound more like it's done inside a studio, but the sound quality on the song may be what is the desired effect. If not, it suffers from a listener standpoint, unless you want to sound like this is recorded in a bar or club. I'd like to hear more, though.

Bill Cole And Cornplanter

Bill Cole And Cornplanter has a fun sound here. It has the great feel from the sixties and seventies when music was at it's best in my opinion. I hear some different influences in here, like early Bob Dylan, The Byrds, Grateful Dead, The Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones and more that blends together and make it new and unique. I hope to hear more of Bill Cole And Cornplanter.

Tone ideas

I love the feel of this song. I could hear that there was a fair amount of compression in the mix. I use a fair bit at times myself though I felt that it may have been at bit too much on the acoustic and electic guitars. The Acoustic sounded like keys at times and if that was what you wanted to achieve, then cool. If not try reducing the comp, about 60% bass, 40% mid and 60% treb on your acoustic pre amp (the old smiley face) and incorpate betwenn 40 and 50 ms of slap back delay. The electric I would love to hear on a Vox AC30 or Peavey 30 Classic with the gain at 6 and drive at 4 played on the middle setting on your pick up selector or neck pickup with some reverb. The feel and phrasing is well presented with a great driving flow. The above is only my opinion on how I like to hear guitar, I do apreciate that everyone has differnt tastes and the tonal suggestions are only a suggestion. Top song, cheers for sharing.

Mojo Nixon or Joe King Carrasco. A little lo-fi on the quality end but you are working it well. Nice lead guitar work and tone. Maybe a leslie organ (ala: "Like A Rolling Stone" ) would be nice, playing the melody lines with the scatting. Check out The Rosewood Thieves. A great band that works this angle really well.

This song really rocks, hot guitar going on. It has a really nice groove, something that makes you wanna dance. Good chord progressions. I wish I knew what it was about since I'm such a stickler for lyrics. My only slight criticism is the recording, otherwise, good tune.

Hiya Bill, many thankx for asking me to review your song. I read all of the reviews, and they are pretty varied. I must however, agree with some of them on the overall sound, it needs just a little adjusting to change the overall tone. However, the tempo of the song, and overall vibe is brilliant, it really is a foot tapping, let's get going song - kudos to you for that. The guitar playing is also fantastic, but, for my ears, I would have preferred just a little bit more of a fatter sound, less treble, as it were. The vocals, there again, great stuff - overall, a gem of a song, guaranteed to get any party going. Well done

Keeps your toes dancing

Great upbeat song that keeps your toes dancing. I like the scatting and free stye singing on High Priestess, it gives the song a natural feel and drive. You probably have not had good recording gear at hand, the mix has built up high frequencies which gives it an overall harsh sound. Also quite a bit of noise on the track which you notice at the end. The levels are set well in the mix, the song is good and played well, so maybe you can hook up with someone with a bit of gear to get it recorded and it will be great.

This is a firework that burns from the first bar. It has a rock n roll flavour which tastes like a brew of The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, and The Kinks. It's loud, it's dirty and it's groovy. Take the time to wrap your ears around this one and you won't be disappointed.

This song moves along nicely with a good back-beat. Good story told and heart felt vocals. Kinda reminds me of early Dylan. It's a toe tapper for sure. Be sure to give this track a listen. You will dig it!

I found this music to be different than what I'm used to, but pretty enjoyable. "Don't be" was upbeat. I also liked "The sky is black". These two seemed to have a good beat and made me feel the music. "Hair Hair Hair", was pretty enjoyable too. "Sweet Thing", made me think back and so I think that is my favorite.
