For those of you who don't recall, Rene' was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. She has been and will continue to be in treatment indefinitely. She did feel good enough to do a short show in Jan. Here is a video from that show...

We have not "posted" a while and wanted to get everyone up to date on Rene' and her treatment.
A series of biopsies were taken in late Jan. They all came back clear which surprised everyone. These "clear margins" allowed for her to have surgery to hopefully remove the cancerous tissue and tumors. The last two weeks have been filled with appointments preparing for surgery. The operation took place Monday Feb 24th. All went well and Rene' is now home recovering.
We now wait for the pathology report on the tissue removed during surgery and again hope for "clear margins"
Once she has healed from surgery, she will have radiation daily for 6 weeks and then 52 more weeks of chemotherapy.

There is still a long journey ahead.

Three weeks ago we made a journey to Denver for additional consultation with Drs and more tests at Anschutz Medical Center. The information we received there was not as positive as we hoped for. The treatment Rene has been receiving has not had the anticipated affect controlling the cancer.
She was scheduled for surgery on December 16. That will not happen. Today she is back for a new regimen of chemo. There will be two sessions and then a review of the cancer and a decision what direction her treatment will proceed in after that.

Hello Everyone.

We wanted to give you all an update about what is happening with us.

Rene' was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

The doctors are considering this an "aggressive" cancer.

Treatment will begin soon and is expected to be quite extensive.

Surgery is scheduled for Aug.5th with chemo therapy and radiation to follow.

We are happy with the team of doctors with whom we are working and will be including many integrative therapies in our approach.

We are still gathering information but wanted to let all of you know about this new direction life has taken.

We hope to continue to do as much music as we can during this process.

We will do our best to keep you all updated.

All your good thoughts, prayers and healing energy is greatly appreciated.

Hello to our friends and supporters.
The month of May is almost past and summer is beginning to call with new leaves, freshly mowed grass and the sweet smell of lilacs. There has been lots of rain and cool weather here in Western Colorado this month. We even had a dusting of snow, a touch of winter past, Saturday morning.

This week starts a busy period of performing for us.
Thursday we are at KAFM in Grand Junction for a radio interview (expired link) We will also be setting up the recording studio there to record our live performance when we open for Cuppa Jo at the Radio Room Saturday the 25th.

Monday, Memorial Day we host a private party.
As the month draws to a close, Memorial Day is upon us and as the gathering and celebrations of friends happen, thoughts of those who have passed and those who have lost loved ones.

June for us is a busy month.
We are hosting a benefit for the Shelter Creek Animal Shelter on the 1st. (expired link)

Perform at Pioneer Day in Crawford (expired link) the 8th. (expired link)

June 16th we are playing the wonderful farmers markethttp://(expired link) in Palisade in conjunction with the huge bluegrass and roots festival (expired link) there that weekend.

The 23rd we are part of the Sunday concert series at the Chapel in (expired link)
And we finish off the month Tuesday June 25th at the outdoor concert series sponsored by the library in Paonia, Colorado. (expired link)

We are welcoming in Summer with a month full of music.
