"There is no need for a bass guitar" says guitarist G Slider, "My thumb gives us all the bass we need". Forgoing a bass and a drumkit in favour of a simple thumb, a cajon and various percussion may seem like a risk proposition, but this "high energy blues band" succeeds in getting the audience to do what the band wants. Black Cat Bone hit the Edinburgh scene in August 2012. After being handpicked by the award-winning Holy Ghosts to support them in the Voodoo Rooms later that month (A venue they would themselves headline in November), They have also supported Big named acts such as Son of Dave and 2014 best blues band nominees Brothers Groove the band has gone on to work with various other promoters at venues in and around Edinburgh including Fortune Promotions, Granny Radge, Counter Culture and Adam Holmes and The Embers
The band released their debut live EP in December, featured on Bandcamp's bestsellers list, consisting of their own material aswell as a cover of Mississippi Fred McDowell's 'You Got To Move', Black Cat Bone look forward to a summer of festivals and boogie.
