Greenville South Carolina artist, Black Franklin is making introspective street music that projects his environment on wax for listeners. The Greenville native, Black Franklin recorded his first single at the young age of 11. Shortly after he started prototype record label Black Money Entertainment. After graduating that soon became Slum Familia Records which became not only his label but his brand. Which includes T-shirts, hoodies, and hats (at special request). In 2015 Black Franklin won hottest in the state via Coast 2 Coast Magazine by his original stage name OGD. Determined to have the funds needed to properly pursue his musical dreams he enlisted in the army. Post basic training, he used the money he earned to buy studio equipment. With that equipment he released his debut mixtape, Black Franklin. It was met with 1.3k downloads and counting. He is setting the stage for his upcoming release, “Product Of Environment”. It will be more than your average mixtape, prepare for a movie.
