About Blake Bauer

My name is Blake Bauer and I've been playing the guitar for at least 18 years now. I didn't start writing music until the late spring of 2006. The reason I started writing music was because I was hurt, torn and devastated when I found out that a girl I had feelings for had been in a fatal car accident in late May of 2006.. Ultimately, thats what sparked everything. Living On was the very first song I had ever written, with her as my inspiration. I wrote the song, Living On, in completion from nothing (no lyrics, no melody, no guitar parts), to finished and recored in 5 hours one afternoon. I wasn't trying to rush the song, I just let it happen.

I haven't been on this site in a long time and just now got back on. Life has taken different courses and I haven't written music since 2008/2009. My apologies for the horrible audio quality and recordings; I was using an old computer and one single cheap microphone. Maybe I will look into re-recording my songs and hopefully writing something new! I will be trying to cycle out different songs on here. They were all written around the same time.
