Killcare SLSC
Australia, Central Coast, 81 Beach Drive, Killcare, 2257BluesAngels will finally emerge from their lockdown shelters to play the 'Blues Night' dance at the marvellous Killcare SLSC (well, 4 of us - Cec will be in Tassie enjoying their fest). A pity as this is where BluesAngels really started to first come together as a duo in 2010-11 with Tom & Cec, then trio with former alumni Frank Russell on double bass, a weekly residency at Randalls on the Beach, long gone (hiya Johnny Randall!), that lasted nearly 18 months. During that period on the balcony we were treated to afternoon delights of humpback whale sightings, topless sunbakers (both genders!), dolphin pods surfing, occasional great board surfing, families collecting below to relax on the lawn and listen, some marvellous meals and some wonderful special events, perhaps the most memorable being the packed out double bill NYE roots concert with BluesAngelsTrio followed by the hugely popular Wheeze & Suck Band to welcome in the NY with a cotton fields craic. Looking forward to finally hitting the stage again, this time in the big room.
