Bombtree is an American garage rock band with influences of punk and pop delivering energetic performances to their audiences. Bombtree (formerly The Berettas) is an American garage rock band from Ithaca, NY. Bombtree consists of Mike Warren (guitar, vocals), Sean Burns (drums, vocals), and Josh Burns (vocals, bass). The band originally formed in 2006 and draws much of their influence from the post-punk, garage rock revival of the late 90's into the early 21st century. Such influences include The Strokes, The Arctic Monkeys, The Cribs, The Clash, and Sublime. Bombtree released their first demo Joyride, in 2007, showcasing their irresistable brand of angst-filled pop punk. In more recent years the band has taken their sound in a new direction, capturing a more modern vibe while staying true to their punk roots. There long-awaited second release, Doppelganger EP, is scheduled to be available in 2014.
