Bonnie 'Blues Doll' McCallum: As an underground Blues Singer Bonnie is known to friends & family as 'The Blues Doll' or 'The voice'. Bonnie was brought up in Easterhouse, Glasgow, & started singing at a very young age, she now has over 25 years experience singing but her first major shot at music was singing in Blues/Rock bands as a backing singer with Glasgow band 'BIG MOUTH' until she became a lead singer in a band called 'KICKING STONE'. She's travelled the length of Britain playing clubs & festivals with bands 'ANGELSHARE', 'RUNIK', 'PARCEL 'o' ROGUES' & 'RONA' . On her travels she supported the likes of 'RORY MaCLEOD' at Fylde Folk Festival, 'TANGLEFOOT' at Clitheroe Folk Festival, and has also sung at Salmesbury, Coppull and Darlington Folk Festivals. The band 'RONA' supported 'DIAMH' at Farr Hall, Highlands with special guest on fiddle 'Sofie Jonsson' from Sweden. The band 'RONA' have played at the Northern Roots Festival, Portsoy Folk Festival, Lomond Folk Festival, the Danny Kyle Open Stage at Celtic Connections 2010, they also made an appearance at the Belladrum Festival 2011. Bonnie's had several successful trips to the recording studio, but when not working with bands, Bonnie also has a career working as a solo entertainer singing in hotels, clubs, weddings & corporate functions. Bonnie has always been interested in singing blues, soul, rock/blues and was lucky enough to grow up in an era listening to all genres of music from family members which included, jazz, swing, rock'n'roll, rock, punk, blues, soul, gospel, funk, motown, country etc... Bonnie is capable of singing most genres and has been known to perform at gigs singing for three hours straight without a break, the hardest being two gigs in a row singing for six hours with only a half hour break between gigs. Bonnie's blues songs are now playing on air over in America on a few online stations such as Goldradio (expired link) Internet radio available on all connections from Dialup 24kbps to Cable/DSL 128kbps Stereo to mobile devices.
