bootblack sinners came about in the summer of 2009. The band started with Dan, Ryan and Brian, who have grown up and been friends in Klamath Falls, OR since they were young pups. They had been in various places since high school, but found themselves in the same place at the same time and decided to start something that they had talked about for many years.
They started playing shows locally that same December and recorded their first EP in April, 2010. Their first bassist, who happened to be an orthopedic surgeon in town, played with them until August of that same year. Alfred Beattie joined the band in early October and has been slappin’ the bass ever since.
During their recent tour through California the bootblack sinners have found a title for their genre. “What kind of music do you play,” is always a vexing question to any band. Thankfully, a gentleman after one of their shows was talking to the band and suggested the title of Frontier Rock. And so, upon a long conversation between him and the band, Frontier Rock was born.
