Here we are. Only one week away from Christmas. Thought I would share a song I wrote more than a few years ago. I was playing a few songs at a local "watering hole" a couple of weeks before Christmas when a young lady who worked at the establishment wondered why nobody was playing any Christmas songs. I told her I would write one and play it the following week at an open mic night they she was hosting. CHRISTMAS IN MY MIND was the song I wrote. At first she was excited to hear the new song, until I played it. Afterward she said, that is the most depressing Christmas song I have ever heard. I suppose the lesson here is never write a holiday song while you are feeling sad and kind of lonely. H Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season!
