Background Vocalist BassistI grew up in a small fishing village in Steinhatchee fl., right on the Gulf of Mexico. My house and neighborhood was always filled with music. I got my first guitar at the age of 10. I started learning how to play from my Uncle and other relatives. At the age of 12 I started playing in a band, with a man who grew up with the Vanzant brothers in Jacksonville. He taught me how to play the blues and southern rock. At the age of 14 I started to form my own band, where I played alternative and hard rock. I have played in many bands since then. Playing venues all over the southeast United States, recording a few albums along the way. It wasn't until 2008 (When Broken Trust was formed.), that I switched from playing guitar to bass. Making the switch was one of the best decisions I've ever made. All of my closest friends were drummers. So in my free time I would always play music with them. By doing so I realized that playing bass was more natural for me, because I was always more in tune with the drums than any other instrument. Playing music is a high for me. So much so that I am a performer, just as much as a musician. I always step on the stage with high energy, and project that to the crowd. By letting the emotions of the music take over, I start to move and dance around the stage. After all music is an outlet of expressing emotion. So I want the audience to feel it, just as much as hearing it. I want them to walk away with a memory they will never forget. Pared with a feeling that builds inside of them, every time they hear that one song that touched their soul!
Kevin Johnson
Guitarist VocalistKevin Johnson: Is the singer/songwriter and guitarist for Broken Trust. He has been writing music, singing and playing guitar for over 20 years. His influences include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, AC/DC, Hank Williams Jr., Sevendust, Godsmack and Nickelback. Starting out, his dream was just to jam with others. At 14, while just a freshman in high school, he recorded his first full length cd with Local Band “Seize The Day” comprised of Mostly a grunge style from start to finish. Through years of Maturity and Life, his lyrics and musical style has grown into his own. In 2008, he helped form “Broken Trust” and in August of that same year released their self-titled cd which has had great success locally and regionally, Even featuring a track titled “Goodbye” that was featured on the Punisher 2 soundtrack. Broken Trust took a hiatus from 2011 - 2016, But have reconvened stronger and more focused. Broken Trust will Release their follow Album sometime in Early 2018
